Nomad
"NOMAD is a little neighborhood store with a big world beat! Since the 1990 our globetrotting passion for world cultures and craft traditions has been our driving force and inspiration. A delightful mix of fairly-traded clothing, handpicked folk art, accessories, and home decor – everything from wondrous to wacky! Personal service and respect for both customers and vendors is very important to us. Many of our patrons enjoy our presence in the community and often comment that NOMAD is a feast for the eyes and soul."

I’ve shopped here for years and my most treasured clothing comes from here! The women who work in the store are so sweet, friendly, and helpful. They always remember me when I come in. I miss the old days when they sold furniture, but I love the children’s section and have found some great home decorations in the current setup.
I visited Cambridge and made a special stop into the store. I hadn’t been in for a few years as I no longer am in the area. The shop still features a plethora of beautiful pieces. Wonderful gift items from around the world. Some a bit overpriced but lots of imports. Everything is well curated. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular. I was a bit surprised that none of the staff 2 acknowledged I was even there. I was standing next to a woman tidying shelves and she didn’t say a word. I looked at clothing and wanted to try on a piece. After standing and waiting for help, I put the item back. In a world where small businesses hope to keep doors open, I would highly suggest a more friendly atmosphere. I don’t expect a red carpet, but a smile and “hello” are expected. I recall it being a warmer place in years past. Maybe it was an off day.
I always find something nice even when I'm not really looking. I got my hat, scarf and aBudda candle. They even let me buy a small display bookshelf.
A great store with something for everyone. The new location is bright and welcoming.
I usually buy clothes online and textiles in Guatemala, but I wandered into this beautiful store and fell in love with the hand block printed blouses, dresses, robes and napkins. I love that the owner travels to places like Chiapas, Mexico to meet the weavers and pay them fairly for their beautiful goods. The prices are excellent. The salespeople could not be lovelier or more helpful. I’ve been stopping by so much, they say, “See you tomorrow.”
One of a kind gifts, clothing, and thus pricey for rich Harvard kids ..
This is my go to spot for really fashionable, affordable, sustainable clothing. The staff is so helpful, warm and friendly. I've been going here for over 15 years - THE BEST!
I love this place. I have been shopping here for over a decade. It has become my go to place to get gifts for all the women in my life. I struggle with finding gifts but not here. There is always something small or fun or interesting for everyone. Don't forget to go downstairs. There are always great little finds there tucked away. I'll be headed there for Christmas gifts. Hopefully they have the frasier fir candles for my wife again. Make sure to look through the jewelry as well. They tend to have items that are from around the world and domestic artisans. The cards are fantastic too. I like that i can get something that's a bit unusual or get a postcard as a greeting card. The best part is that there seemed to be a little story about everything in the store. These little stories help make the gift a bit more special and thoughtful.
An amazing selection of international decorations and apparel and an infinite source of gift inspiration. The clothing and accessories are mostly oriented towards women, and the artwork tend to be mainly from South and Central America, but there's definitely something for everyone. The merchandise does tend to run on the pricey side, and parking can be problematic.
Nomad has goods from all around the world and they are beautiful! I wish I could decorate my house with everything in this store! A little pricey but completely worth it! You will find the most unique and special things here.
