Ill be going grid tied solar or off grid electricity thanks to the high prices. I'm stuck with natural gas though.
Should be passing alternative energy savings back to customers with lower electricity prices.
If I buy A whole house generator, Im buying a Diesel one.No Natural Gas whole house here.

Why Pay Such high prices, Nipsco is hooking up to wind energy. Why should we all suffer high prices because they are greedy corporation.
I think that people Should be going off Electric Grid more and more, Hit Nipsco hard. I've see more wind, solar panels, and home made/professional solar water/heating being installed to combat the high Costs.

A credit check to start service? Have lived many places and have never run into this policy. Buy a house, turn on the electricity, and get dinged twice on your credit report.... fun!

We have always had dependable service even in the event of heavy storms and winds. The service people are deployed quickly when outages occur. I have very little experience with Customer Service as I have not had to call. Pricing still a bit high.

Shame on you, NIPSCO!!! Several struggling, disabled patients that I have cared for over the years have had their electric & natural gas services disconnected for late payments on their account. In fact, all of them have had this happen during the hottest or coldest months of the year. The patients that I refer to are usually elderly and/or severely disabled. These patients are on fixed incomes and experience compounding medical expenses. NiSource’s corporate greed has nearly cost one such patient his life after I personally transported home via ambulance for hospice care. Thank God for their quick-thinking neighbor who brought over a gas generator to power oxygen & life-sustaining equipment. NiSource is a multi-million dollar corporation... rather than offer these customers appropriate financial assistance & deduct the loss as charity, they would rather leave financially struggling customers out in the dark & cold. Literally! The fact is clear... NiSource could care less about the customers & communities they serve. It’s all about the profits... I guess the mission statement should read, “Profits over people”.
Shame on this cold, heartless monopoly!
