Dr Buck needs a lesson in humanity. Basically ridiculed my teen daughter for being underweight. Very uncompassionate and assumed she was not eating-to be skinny. News flash ol Buck that not every teen desires to be a stick! The way he went about it was so unprofessional and screamed ignorance.
Passing the heat....We have four young kids and had an appointment with you all this morning at 9:40 .AM. My wife dragged all of the kids out of the house, down a steep, icy driveway to get to the appointment. 15 minutes before the appointment your office called and cancelled because of the snow. Your office isn't taking calls either. She was there because you all said to arrive early. Please call your appointments to cancel earlier, at least an hour. We still love Dr. Buck. Thank you!
I've been a patient for quite some time. I have an anxiety disorder in which I am being treated for, as well as being diabetic, severe obstructive sleep apnea, and a few other health issues. My insurance only allows me to go via mail through xpress scripts for my prescriptions. So far this year, I have received my medication refill once in 4 months. Not from the lack of trying. January, I attempted to have my refill sent via xpress scripts. A month passed and I got a notice saying they didn't get my doctor's approval and to have my doctor send them prescription electronically. So I called in February and explained myself after being put on a 15 minute long hold, I was told they were sorry they were short staffed. The script was sent and approved in February. March rolls around I call in again to the office. I was told the request would be sent. March, I never received my medication. April comes, I call again and speak to a nice lady time and date is in my phone call log and I explain myself yet again about not getting my script refilled even though I called. She said no problem she was sorry, they had been short staffed and she would make sure it was called in. A week passed and I checked the xpress script website. No order placed. I called back and was told no one ever gave the request for a refill. I was put on hold for another 20 minutes to get a nurse that said that I had to fax something somewhere. I asked her, Aren't you my healthcare provider? Shouldn't you all be taking care of this? She once again told me that the office was short staffed. I lost it and said I will find another office. I also cussed at the girl, saying "eff you all". The doctor knows I have anxiety issues, yet I get sent a certified letter stating that due to my unprofessional conversation, I need to find another provider. Do you know what is unprofessional? Getting your script filled 1 time in 4 months. If you want to live, steer clear of this place. That's what I was going to do regardless. So. If you need medication to live, take my heed. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. The nurse practitioner is decent, but they are ALWAYS short staffed. I also have screens shots of my xpress script requests and call logs from my phone showing when I called each month. Seems to me there may be some sort of lawsuit when the office lacks refilling needed medications when requested. Not to mention they screwed up my FMLA documentation on several occasions, and the months I had to call and get my script refilled each month and put on hold for 15-30 minutes at a time. The excuse every single time is they say "we are sorry, we are short staffed."
Do not take your kids here! These people have very poor orginizational skills and are highly unprofessional. They've lost signed medical papers I've turned into them. They messed up 2 I'm my son's records while putting them into the computer system and had to call the help desk to resolve the issue. The nurses seem not to have very much working knowledge, as I was told by one nurse that the flu B strain was considered to be the worst of the 3 strains. Although ever thing I've read states that strain A us the more lethal of the 3. My first appt was with Dr.Kevin Buck who seemed to just have woken up, continuously yawning, eyes glazed, hair unkempt. I stated to Dr. KEVIN BUCK that my son was experiencing headaches after playing sports or high levels of aerobic exercises and that this had been happening for awhile to which I was very concerned. The only thing he did was ask my son where his headaches we're happening, my son is 9, so it was a little difficult for him to explain. Dr. KEVIN BUCK didn't seem to care much as,the only response he could muster from his morning breath filled mouth was "hmm". He did not order any test or ask any further questions. Then I call today to schedule my boys to have a Hep A test due to the outbreak and the kroger on Dixie Hwy and tge nurse tells me the first available date is April 11th, it's March the 5th!! Nortons should ve ashamed of themselves for allowing this type of professionalism to occur.
Have to drop my review from a 5 to a 3. Dr Rice and staff are still great, but his staff are clueless. Dr Rice wrote 5 prescriptions. Despite working with the staff, they went to wrong pharmacy. Told staff I was out of meds, and told them correct pharmacy. Went to correct pharmacy and only two showed up. Now have to take a day off work to go to the clinic and find out what went wrong.
Im giving five stars to our pediatrician DR KEVIN BUCK not the facility .. He is absolutely amazing and I couldn't imagine taking my 4 children to any other doctor. He listens and thoroughly addresses all of my concerns and needs. He always is willing to make time to see my children even when it's spare of the moment or last minute he always makes time and he never makes me feel rushed. He makes us feel like we're a priority and not just a number not just another person to push through. He is very good at explaining everything in full detail. NOW AS FOR The new staff THEY ARE horrible they are unorganized and act very bothered to answer phones and to do their jobs.. When you approach them in person they never smile they never greet you its as if they don't even want to be there .. Nortons needs to step it up hire people that actually want to work. IM SO ANNOYED WITH THE LADIES THAT WORK THE PHONES/desk..
I was very surprised by the level of professionalism, at one point I was beginning to wonder am I being assisted by teenager's. They don't seem to know their job titles or duties. Also they don't know the appropriate way you are to talk to individuals. Thought I was at a circus. Thankfully the doctor's make up for their terrible flaws.
This doctors office is horrible , they do not care about you , and they get nothing right I went twice for side pains first they told me looked like my stool was full went to another appointment after it never went away and told me I had something else that I did not have . Comes to find out when my kidney stones formed it was kidney stones the whole time . I will never go back here they do not care
My experience at this doctors office was horrible I brought my mother in for a urinary issue and was told it's due to having children. Despite my request of the doctor looking at the urine sample that was given he dismissed us like we were nothing. But here is a little bit of education for you doc my mother had bladder cancer thanks for taking a closer look.
Very aggravated. I go in to get my TB Test on a Wednesday, they tell me to come back on Friday, anot appointment wasn't needed. I come back Friday, and they're closed 30 minutes early. So not only was my time wasted, but seeing as I have to go BACK and get ANOTHER TB Test, my money was wasted as well.
