I stopped by here for 3 nights for an embassy appointment, so it was very quick. Rooms were quite nice, although the mattress for the fold-up bed was less than desirable. If you need sheets and blankets, make sure you get them before room service closes! It is not 24/hr. The driveway is difficult to find and a bit tight. Overall it was a positive experience, and the staff were great and accommodating. Lots of good eats nearby while the restaurant was closed due to COVID and walking distance from my embassy. I would stay here again.
This is one of my favorite hotels in the world. They’re welcoming, the room was beautiful, and the hotel has an overall high quality/luxury feel without the super high costs of surrounding hotels and other accommodations. Close walking to all the tourist attractions and easy check in/out. Great all around!
We stayed at the Arc Hotel in Georgetown last weekend. It was so convenient to metro and the rooms were lovely. The lounge was large and perfect for relaxing with friends. The front desk staff, doorman and housekeepers were all helpful and professional. We would stay there again.
They charged me twice for the room and didn’t believe me when I pointed it out until I asked to speak to a manager. If I hadn’t noticed, somebody would have gone on a $1000 vacation on my expense!! Not to mention that they were super rude about the whole thing. They even tried to overcharge me the second time they charged me Also, there was no cleaning service even though it was included in the price and on the second day I specially asked about it and they confirmed. Furthermore, there was no breakfast service available at all. The only good thing was the location. Can’t really speak for the rest of the rooms but the Queen deluxe double room was great.
I loved this hotel! Great location, close to GW, the monuments. WE walked everywhere! The rooms were super clean, sleek, best night sleep! Great coffee shop just around the corner. The hotel felt very local. We will definitely go back!Rooms: 5/5
Be warned. The pictures look nice and it somehow has 4.5 stars. You're paying for location and location only. AIR CONDITIONING: There is no controllable air conditioning/heating in the rooms despite every amenity advertisement on every website claiming "air-conditioning", and obviously no mention of this on their "FAQ's/Hotel Amenities" web pages. The entire building is on a "one track system". Meaning whatever they set the building to is what you get. Currently, they've put the building in "neutral" meaning there is just nothing. No fan, no air, no nothing. I would open windows except only 1 of 4 windows had a bug screen. And again, with no fan of any kind to circulate air, opening windows actually only does so much. I cracked our door with a shoe to create any kind of airflow to drop the room temperature. BATHROOM: The room lights are motion controlled, including the lights in the bathroom. There is no other option, so you better take a 30 second shower or else you're in the dark. You could leave the door open to keep some kind of light stream into the bathroom, but wait there's no bathroom vent, so all that hot air and steam will go into your bedroom that also doesn't have any kind of air circulation.
Staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The wheelchair accessibility wasn't great, you have to enter through the back and the automatic door wasn't working correctly. Several options for food nearby but most were expensive and had long waits. You have to buy food in the lobby, no restaurant or continental breakfast. Also no airport shuttle. Close to the capitol mall and other attractions.
Stayed there Friday night with family and we booked 2 rooms for around $550 + $50 parking. When we got to the room, it was humid as it just rained and front desk told us they have one pipe system. Currently heat is on, so AC won’t work. Front desk offered the refund but we were stuck at last min. We slept with open windows all night with a lot of traffic noise. DO NOT Waste your money here.
Standard room was pretty decent and well organise. Everything you need for your stay. We were on the second floor and it was quiet. Even windows open. The bathroom is also really pretty. Big shower, the mirror and the lights around are perfect. The shower supplies are also super nice. It smells good : Negativ point : it could have been a bit more clean in the bathroom but nothing else to say. The welcoming from staff is friendly and professional. A cookie will be given when you arrived. You also have access to food and drinks 24/24 that you can charge on your room or pay right away and of course also take on the go. The hotel is also central and well connected with buses and metro.
No AC... granted it was October, but it was still needed. We were told to open our windows. It made it hard to sleep. Very warm and extremely loud street noise. The most awesome part of our experience was the valet/ concierge Costas! HE was AWESOME!!!Rooms: 2/5
