Nice community with great potential to be so much better. Appliances need to be upgraded. Leasing team has gaps and personnel needs to better vetted. The team was so much more knowledgeable and cohesive 3 years ago when I first moved in.
Overall Good experience living at NV. Management and Staff are excellent. Building and huge Lobby are beautiful. All amenity areas are comfortable and clean. I would say that Security could be better, especially overnight Security.
Honestly I would not recommend this building. There is only one leasing agent that is actually helpful, Deja. The others are not a joy to interact with even management. They are unorganized, the pricing is so high for a non renovated building and valet is not even worth the trouble. There are often homeless people INSIDE there are break in to the garage that is supposedly manned 24hrs and overall disorderly!
Well I moved into the NV in the Pearl district about 2 years ago. In that time there has been two floods that have damaged my property where the staff said "too bad". There were multiple break ins due to the garage door not being secured properly for several weeks at a time. There were two instances of armed homeless people entering the building in which management was aware and did not warn the occupants. The final thing for me is that a few weeks back the staff made a change in my lease that I did not consent to and in a separate incident they cut the lock off of my rightfully rented storage unit and stole all of my valuables and "don’t know where they are as of today" I feel totally violated and helpless having to work with this management and I would recommend staying away from any of their properties if possible. Truly incompetent and borderline malicious and manipulative. I really hope others can avoid the mental anguish this company has caused for me and my partner.
NV is an amazing place to live. Andrea and Daezha front desk staff go above and beyond to handle all of my necessities home-wise. They even go as far as recommending new food places nearby and greeting me and my son as we walk through the lobby daily. Max and Sean are always on top of my maintenance requests! In an out of my apartment with no issues. I’ve had blinds replaced, a washer replaced and my sink/dryer fixed all within a timely manner. They are respectful, courteous of my new baby and I am very thankful for their availability and time. The views from the 3rd floor amenity space during the summer are breathtaking and I haven’t had an issue with many things since I’ve moved in. The residents are to themselves and respectful for the most part. As an added plus, they offer a free coffee/tea station for their residents. It’s a little pricey, but I definitely feel like I am well taken care of and at home here at NV. I’m sure anybody else would too.
I have truly enjoyed my time living at NV apartments. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The neighbors are friendly and the location is in walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Any time we have a request or need support the leasing staff is extremely professional and helpful. I can’t thank Daezha enough for all her help with the leasing process, getting moved in, and her continued support whenever we need help!
I’ve lived at the NV since September 2020 and moved from SE Portland. The pandemic made things feel too quiet in Sellwood and I thought the Pearl just based on population density would have more action. The neighborhood didn’t turn out to be what I had envisioned given the state of things in Portland and businesses have kept closing in the immediate area making it feel kind of like a ghost town but this review is about the NV and not the recent downward spiral of most of Portland. I’m so glad I moved to the NV and my last three years here have been wonderful. It’s probably my favorite place I’ve ever lived. The floor plans often come with a den so if you work from home this is the ideal building in the city as most others don’t offer layouts that allow for a separate office space without having to rent a two bedroom unit that will be way more expensive. I rarely hear my neighbors and I haven’t had any major maintenance issues other than routine things like replacing the AC filter. Maintenance always comes promptly within 24 hours. The amenities are also pretty good, the rooftop is nice in the summer and the gym is well equipped for a rental building. Usually the equipment is bare bones but at the NV the gym has almost everything you’d need eliminating the need for a gym membership. Common areas are kept clean and organized and everything is well designed. The front desk staff has changed quite a bit since I moved in but they’ve been consistently helpful, responsive and friendly not just to me but I see it with other residents too. I also use the parking garage which was initially my biggest concern when I moved into the building since it is valet only and I don’t like other people touching my car especially during a pandemic. The valet staff have been so nice and helpful and my car has never been damaged the spaces are mechanical stacking spaces so there’s a car above mine and it needs to be moved to get the one on top out. There’s also ample free bike parking and I like that you can use a bike room near the valet so there’s always eyes on it for an extra sense of security. If you’re looking to move to the Pearl there are newer buildings with fancier amenities like pools but how often can you realistically use a pool in Portlands climate… After I looked at nearly 10 buildings such as Heartline, Block 17, The Carson, Modera Akoya, Ladd Tower, Maestro, and The Rodney to name a few none of them could compare to the practical unit layouts offered at the NV. I’d highly recommend living here if you’re looking to live in the area it’s been great.
Prime location. Love the area. Everything is super walkable. Parking is valet? Clutch. The staff is always super friendly. Shout out to front desk staff also! Whether we’re discuss House of Dragon recaps or they’re helping me when if/when I get occasionally locked out of my apartment, Daezha & Andrea always look out for me, my packages, & my puppy.
The team is looking for honest reviews of the building. I have really enjoyed living here at NV, and this is not the first apartment building I’ve lived at in Portland. I recommend the building, and the staff members that stand out are the leasing team, Andrea, Kendall, and Dasha.
Have lived in the building for almost a year and have really enjoyed it. Amenities are great, maintenance is quick to address issues, and management Ryan & Jevon have been quick to address any issues. Pros: -Location is perfect -Beautiful building -Valet service -Package concierge -Great management -Unique floor plans -EV chargers Cons: -Needs full size washers. Takes so long to get through laundry. -One of the few buildings in the area with no security at night. I have not had any issues, but the peace of mind would be nice. -Lack of happy hour. Most other buildings in the area have either daily or weekly happy hours. Would be nice to meet others in the building.
