O'Keefe Elevator Company, Inc.

O'keefe was called out to do a service call on a handicap accessible lift/elevator own a commercial property I own and O'keefe services yearly. The first tech was unable to find the problem and called a second tech to come back a few days later. After 4 hours with both of them here they discovered a loose wire on the back of the switch. I was billed for over 9 hours of service time (at 196$/hr) plus extra mileage fees for a pretty simple fix according to the insurance adjuster that handled the case. (Since no equipment was replaced the bill was not covered by insurance.) They didn't need two techs and unfortunately they were not willing to adjust any amount of the bill even after the tech supervisor conceded on the phone with me the time spent on the fix was probably excessive. I applaud the quick service and they did fix the problem; they are just a terrible with customer service and that is because there isn't a great deal of competition.
