I give two stars because we really do enjoy the final product — a new gas log assembly in our fireplace. So that’s good. However… It was installed two months after the originally estimated install date, due to numerous errors on the part of O’Malia’s. First, they confused our order with the customers that were there before us. When the order came in stock, they scheduled an install date for weeks later. Then when the gentleman came to install, he found he had the wrong size. Yes, he had the size of the order from the customers that ordered right before us! All because our last names were “similar”. We know because the name is wrong on our original invoice that we have. So, of course, they had to reorder and wait on THAT to ship. We were notified that it had arrived at the store, and that they would expedite the installation. Only problem, “expedite” to O’Malia’s apparently means “wait another two weeks, regardless of our screwups.” The installer did a great job… he really is good at his job. We honestly are very happy with the fireplace. So then, we call to pay the balance on the order. I didn’t have the original invoice in hand, I paid whatever he said we owed. Then my wife said “Wait, that’s $300 more than what’s on our invoice!” So I call back. I get “oh, did we install it? Oh well, that’s $300 extra that wasn’t on your invoice. After all the mixups, screwups, reorders, and delays… let’s make sure we don’t cut the customer a break and say something like “hey, the installation’s on us”! No, no… that might be good customer service, and we can’t have that!
I highly recommend O'Malia's for gas fireplace repairs. Ely Stokes came out to diagnose our 30 year old gas fireplace and said it was dead and that the whole unit needed to be replaced. We then had O'Malia's come out and they found that it just needed a new gas valve and pilot assembly and fixed it for a fraction of the price of a new unit. It took a couple hours to do the work and it definitely wasn't something I could do on my own so we're happy we called O'Malia's!
Darrell has been very helpful with an electric fireplace choice for my customer. The information and follow up communication has been excellent. The showroom is very attractive and full of options to pick from.
I recently bought an outdoor fire table from another retailer in Indy. That retailer sold me a fire table and did not provide the requisite natural gas conversion kit and charged me $100 for installation which only to drop off the table, NOT install it. When I asked how they're going to connect it to the gas line I had plumbed, they told me that's not their problem and couldn't recommend anyone to install it. Even the gas plumber that ran the line didn't want to install it! They BOTH mentioned to call O'Malia's. I called numerous companies for weeks on end, with nothing but runarounds, half answers, and long waits for someone to come look at it. I was hesitant to call O'Malia's because I didn't buy it from them and was sure of the forthcoming answer of 'No.' Steve responded to my cry for help with calling the manufacturer directly, working through supply chain issues with the conversion kit and other parts, and had his guys pick up my table and work through a solution. They returned my table THE VERY NEXT DAY. They were great to work with, very nice people as well. All I can say is that we're amazed service like that still exists in this day and age and that O'Malia's now has a customer for life. THANK YOU!!
Awesome customer service! The staff at O'Malia's worked out an issue with my fireplace gas pipe location by creating a template and working out a solution with a combination of products. I highly recommend O'Mailia's if you are looking for a gas log setup. A good reason to not shop at the big box or chain hardware stores, they would not take time to help even if they knew how.
Overall great, quick experience! I reached out to O'Malia's Living about a potential gas leak. They were quick to redirect me to a couple of contractor's that could inspect and fix, if necessary to do so! They didn't try to oversell other fireplaces or items not needed. Very much appreciated to get the help quick!
We bought some new gas logs from O’Malia’s a few months ago. This was the first time I had shopped there. I will definitely go back. Their customer service is first class. The logs are amazing. They put Out a lot of heat. Couldn’t be happier with our choice. The salesman walked us through the advantages of each set and we are extremely happy with our choice. The set up went smoothly and the technician was very professional. After a couple of days, the pilot light went out a few times but then didn’t have any issues again until two months later when the fire kept going out. They sent out another technician and he installed a new pilot mechanism. He did an excellent job and was very professional. Getting fireplace fixed was no problem. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and making me a happy customer was their goal. Thank you.

My husband bought a new log set on Amazon only to realize that it wouldn't work with the burner we had for our fireplace. So he searched online and stumbled upon O'malia's Living and chatted with David who advised him to purchase the correct needed burner and set it aside for pick up. Once we were in the store, Nathan walked us through all the steps. Nathan was incredibly helpful and generous. We will gladly do business with these guys again. Their friendliness was refreshing. By the way, the finished product looks awesome!! Wife approved
Went in. Walked the perimeter of the entire floor room. Three older gentlemen were chatting away to each other behind the counter but never engaged us. Zero customer service. We weren't dressed shabbily or come across as undesirables. Don't waste your time. Find a place who will treat you right for the money you are spending with them.
