If I lived in Oklahoma City, this would be the club I'd join! 2 courses to choose from, a fantastic practice area, top notch restaurant/bar and an amazing locker room. I only have one question, why are the members in such a hurry to play a round of golf? I get the carts have numbers on the side, but this ain't NASCAR. Relax, have a drink, unwind and enjoy golf doesn't have to be 100mph.
Incredibly non-professional staff. I came to the country club for an event my family was throwing and I was astonished at how awful this place was. The staff are incredibly rude and no help when asked questions. My family was hosting a very private event, yet all I could hear when we were having speeches was two young children screaming and jumping on the stairs right outside our event room. There were way too many unattended children running around the building in general as well. The bartender was also very short with me and I didn’t feel welcomed by the staff throughout the whole event. When my family left the room for 2 minutes to take a photo, all of our food and water was taken away from our tables even when we had an extra hour booked on the room. We all felt rushed and unimportant. I would definitely not recommend booking an event here or even getting a membership based on how we were treated.
Nice place to hang out with friend over Christmas party and enjoy some rally good food made by the in-house kitchen.
Went to a tournament here unfortunately I was not in the tournament playing but it's a beautiful beautiful facility and even more immaculate course guaranteed to not disappoint
I attended a wedding here and it really left a lot to be desired. The signage to the area was poor and the grooms last name was misspelled on the entrance sign. The gate guard reportedly grilled some guests to the point of being invasive. The gazebo where the ceremony was held was covered in dead grass and people continued to golf during the ceremony. The bar was incredibly overpriced $15/glass of wine, $20 for liquor mixed drink. The ceiling where the event was held was cracked and had lights missing. Club members seemed annoyed that there was a wedding as they walked through some of the wedding photos. On a positive note, the buffet was good. I would avoid this place for anyone seeking an upscale wedding experience.
Do NOT choose this venue for your wedding!!! *Long post but worth it if you’re considering this place* The employees here are unprofessional and will literally lie to your face. My husband and I spent over $11k on our wedding here & we were treated like royalty up until the actual wedding day. First of all, they claim you have “private” rooms to get ready in both bride and groom and it is NOT private. They allow any random guest to enter “your” room where you get ready. Then when we approached them about it, they said they never said that... and it’s literally on their website AND we have it in writing, soo.. we were additionally told in front of at least 12 + people the room would be private, so I’m not just hearing things. Second of all, one of the employees told my husband his daughter couldn’t come into the men’s locker room because there are men showering.... while we are getting ready for our freaking $11,000 wedding. Then one of the employees got confrontational with my husband - on his wedding day!!! The employees AND guests were rude. One guest looked at me the bride and all of my bridesmaids while getting ready and said “sucks to be them” of course I said something. Like does anyone not realize this is supposed to be the biggest/best day of our lives? Why be so mean?! Throughout the 1 year we were planning our wedding here we had our original coordinator replaced, then the new one got sick and didn’t even show up on the wedding day! Lastly, I asked MONTHS in advance if my senior dog could be apart of the wedding, since it’s a country club we didn’t just assume we could bring an animal. They said yes, and once again, we have it in writing, and on the wedding day the fill-in coordinator made comments about my dog being there. This isn’t even all the problems, but I’ve already written a novel. Just don’t choose this place unless you want to be disappointed. Even after all these problems not ONE apology. They literally didn’t care, at all. Do not choose this venue. You WILL regret it.
Looked old and outdated, some windows were clouded in-between pane. Some light were missing from chandelier. The food was just awful!!! Would never want to eat there again especially for the price!!!
This golf course was designed by Pete Dye. I helped build this course. I never got to see it in the green. It really looks great and happy to see it still exist. This was back in 73-74. The folks I met while there were very nice. I believe this course was named 100 Oaks at one time. Enjoy it.
We played Oak Tree as members of an allied Club Corp course. The day we played it was 109 degrees and luckily the humidity was 15% and the wind was blowing. There are two courses, East and West and they intertwine one another so it gets a bit confusing when hole markers are not in a place you can easily find them or are not there period, which was the case on one remote hole. We played the West course though part of it is west of the main street that bisects the courses. The course was in good shape and the bent grass greens were in good shape though are mowed higher than we are accustomed so they were slower. The personnel were fine though we never found the starter so we went off by ourselves. There is on course food and beverage cart service and that was welcome since on the West Course there is no turn at the Clubhouse. There are on course restroom stops. The locker rooms are quite large and well appointed. There is significant confusion when trying to locate the course. We had reservations at the West Course and we located Oak Tree National which is west of the Oak Tree Country Club. Be advised that this course is not affiliated with Oak Tree Country Club AND we were told that it is MEN ONLY. Cannot believe that that still exists, other than Preston Trail in Dallas. Oak Tree West Course is East of this course.
Loved this place until tennis fell. The coaches all left. Don't get me wrong, Eric is a great coach, but the place lost its style after the loss of many coaches.
