Oakland MRI

I had a terrible experience at this place. I had brought my 85 year old grandmother who had brain surgery less than two weeks prior to this. We had to drive 40 minutes in the snow to get there. Once we got there we had to wait about 20 minutes. As soon as we walked in a couple other people had walked in they had double-booked my grandmother's appointment. But because my grandmother was there first they took my grandmother first. The MRI tech came in and was talking about how cold it was in the MRI mobile unit but that my grandma was not allowed to bring her jacket. So basically they were telling my 85 year old grandma that she had to sit in it mobile MRI unit freezing cold for 45 minutes. But the MRI didn't last that long halfway through her MRI the machine overheated. It was a huge waste of time. Please look at the pictures that I have included. This is not your normal MRI place. The MRI unit is mobile. Which means it fits on the back of a semi-trailer. I hear from my Grandma's doctor that the pictures are supposed to be great, but I will not put my 85 year old grandma through that again. We will not be going back.

Office is ran by high school staff which is ok but makes the experience unprofessional. Be ready to have your MRI taken inside of a tractor trailer. After my procedure I had billing questions as the place charged an enormous amount of money for a non contrast knee MRI. They billed my insurance what they called the going rate at the time which was a very high amount upwards of $5,000. Since patient out of pocket is a percentage of that I am left with a large bill to pay. I called trying to get a hold of someone for days also leaving voice mails. After finally getting a hold of someone they were of no help. Shop around would be my best recommendation.

This place is run by a completely unprofessional owner. I was billed 3 times for the same procedure, which I paid twice. I called when 3rd bill came & requested a refund. I have been unable to get the owner to give me my money back. Obviously she is hoping I would come back but that is never going to happen!!!!! Quit running your business on other people’s money. I can’t even get a call back, it been 4 months since I first called to request they send me my money!!!!’

For the love of God, don't have your MRI here!!!!! I was leaving for surgery and they have given me the wrong CD for my MRI 5 times in a row. When I had gone to them in person and told them I need the correct MRI, they still gave me the wrong one. I traveled across the country for nothing. They're incompetent employees. As a physician myself, I will never recommend this garbage MRI place.

Service was very slow and inefficient. It will take 2 to 3 hours juts to see Doctor Lucia Zamorano for 2 minutes, and the doctor is always in hurry!!! You don’t get consultation you want. I highly do not recommend going there!!!

I called all the numbers on the web page on 1/23/2023 at 2:52 in the afternoon. The phone rang and and rang no message either...........

I recommend this place. It was fast and staff is very friendly. They were the only ones I could find that offered 3D mammography. Got my result fast too.

Very horrible doctor in charge. A legend in her own mind.
