Great selection of fresh seasonal growing stock. Competitive prices! Helpful staff!
It's always fun visiting the nursey and looking through all the plants, tools, and all things gardeny. This trip I went in search of mums and fall like things for the porch. They had plenty of pumpkins, gourds, fall flowers, mums in all different sizes, and fall arrangements.
Couldn't give Zero or I would. Bought a Christmas tree that was apparently dead. Called in, said no problem to bring a picture and receipt and can exchange. Drove 30 minutes & they said no, we need the tree. the dead one. never going back.
We went looking for a Christmas tree. A very nice gentleman almost insisted on helping us. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection. We have always cut ours down in the past but he made it enjoyable and was very helpful. We will be going back there in the future
I work with Christine their event planner who helps coordinate craft nights at my Community Center. She is so great to work with. The prices are very fair for what you receive. These craft nights are perfect for date nights, girls night out, mother daughter bonding, and so much more! Christine does a great job at instructing and demonstrating the crafts and our folks always have such a good time.
Great garden store with neat fall festival including a national pumpkin weigh-off!
The staff are very knowledgeable. If they do not know the answer, they will find someone who does. I also really appreciate that they have a dedicated native plants section every year,
If I could give no stars I would. Every time my mother and I come here, we have some sort of interaction with the cashier or store associates that is out-of-the-way rude. I'm not sure what kind of values you are instilling in your employees, but they do not like customers and have made it very obvious. At the Fall Festival, there were absolutely no signs that indicated where we were allowed to stand, or how we could take a picture with the competition pumpkins. Multiple times they were walking up to people and saying, "This is a national competition. Do not touch the pumpkins!!", in the rudest tone possible. This was not just one person; there were a few women who were in the area of the pumpkins acting like people were so dumb to not know that it was a "national competition". It would be beneficial to everyone if the sales associates were a little bit more polite to patrons, just in general.
I've tried to work with the gentlemen in the garden center to help me with locating a certain shrub that I had to replace. 4 times I've spoken to someone that was so rude and not at all helpful. We live about 30 miles away from Delaware but we are never going to deal with those people again. I wrote another review after my first experience and no one from their leadership contacted me. That is too bad we spend a lot on our landscaping and this is not the customer service that we were hoping for.
I’ve been consistently impressed with this Oakland, especially the variety of native perennials and trees. Brandon in the perennial department stocks some really exquisite varieties that you won’t find at other local nurseries, and makes it worthwhile to come back throughout the season to see what’s new in stock! Some of our favorite plants on our property have come from this store.
