The treehouse is cool to see and there is a walking path that is quite nice. Just be careful of people on bikes as it is a shared pathway. The other end of the walking path has a nice beach and great water views. Very relaxing and sunset vibe.
FANTASTIC PARK! Lots of paved bike and walking paths and the children’s playground area had inclusive equipment and was adjacent to a fitness area. While there were walked to both the Treehouse and Earth Clock. There were Bocci ball and volleyball courts along with wide open fields for any activity. It’s clean, beautifully maintained and has shady spaces with picnic tables and grills.
It's a beautiful park/ beach, but now it costs $25 to park for the day. AND you have to use the app to pay. You can't pay at the booth or there aren't any coin terminals to put change in. NOT everyone has an app or card to use. I don't think it's fair to lower funds families!!! I would have given 5s but parking is a big thing.
Went there for the total eclipse. The staff handled it really well! They managed the parking well. Plenty of restroom facilities that were cleaned during the event. I needed an Allen wrench for my camera rig, and the staff worker Tom loaned me one. The total eclipse was amazing. The folks who came were enthusiastic and well behaved. Kudos to the town of Burlington and the folks who manage Oakledge park. The earth clock is really cool too. Playground: Multiple playgrounds with plenty of happy kids Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs at the eclipse event seemed to have a great time. Picnic area: Lots of fun places to picnic..
Today we stopped at Oakledge Park and were so taken back by the beauty. There are tons of little play areas, numerous picnic benches under a shaded gazebo, a workout station center overlooking the water, and the stairs leading down to the water and beach. I spent the most time down there looking for some rocks and enjoying the peacefulness of the water. Definitely a stop you should make if you are in VT. Playground: Little groups of play equipment were spread out across the park, making it nice for parents to give the kids a little variety Picnic area: There were a ton of picnic tables under a gazebo
Love it for the sunrise and sunset.. has a kids playground and I've seen people having parties. here ..just remember to not let your car idle too much or definitely don't litter and closed after dark Playground: Looks like fun its definitely got alot to make your childs imagination grow Toilets: Think it's when you rent Dog-friendliness: Leashes but plenty of trails Picnic area: Theres 2 big spaces .. one by water one more private
The park has a very nice beach area to go swimming in. The biking trail is beautiful to travel while viewing Lake Champlain along the way.
Super cool sunset view point. The sight of the sun going into the water is superb. It is so colorful and the reflections of the changing colors in the water and the cloud are eye catching. Must visit place to relax and just be yourself. You could just sit on the benches on the walking trail near the edge of the water and would enjoy the view for hours. People were playing soft musical instruments as the sun was setting. There is also an earth clock at this place.
Pretty little park with access to the beach. Unfortunately the public restrooms were locked. Toilets: Public restrooms were locked it was 5:30 pm. There was one porta john
Went for refreshing, but stayed for the sunset. The park is clean and well-maintained. Please keep in mind that dogs are not allowed on the sandbank. I hope to visit again soon.
