Ochsner Health Center - Old Metairie

Dr. Mizell is the most thorough and knowledgeable primary care physician I've ever had. He's genuinely concerned about your health and is easy to talk with and explains thing well. He also promptly responds to messages through the app if you need anything in between appointments. The entire staff from front desk to lab to nursing is top notch. They have a lab so this is a good alternative to the Veterans location where appointments are sometimes difficult to get.

The security guard at the front desk has a nasty attitude & it is not caused for. She obviously likes to put patients on blast and doesn’t know how to mind her business. Speak when spoken to some things aren’t needed. This is why I rather go to Lake Terrace Pediatrics, we don’t go through this type of unprofessionalism there.

Dr. Jones and her staff are courteous and polite. I am treated as though they are glad to see me. Dr Jones is an excellent and thorough physician. She listens to what I have to say whenever I am in her office. This is a great team. VJ

To achieve excellence occasionally is expected to achieve excellence consistently and repeatedly is noteworthy of pausing to acknowledge...Dr. R. Jones and staff not only have earned my acknowledgement but my gratitude for their commitment to healthcare!!!

I arrived for my lab draw appt which was an hour before my doctor's appt. the front desk told me they couldn't do my lab draw because someone didn't show up. They should have called me that morning to inform me of this. I could have eaten breakfast since I had to fast for 10 hours for labs. Also, I could have stayed home an hour longer and not wasted my time arriving early. If I had medical issues, their failure to inform me early of lab cancellation could have had more serious effects. Poor communication by the staff at this facility. No care of the patient's needs

Dr. Jones and the entire staff on Metairie Rd are phenomenal!! I never wait more than 5 minutes, and am always treated great. Dr Jones listens well and spends a lot of time with her patients. She is beyond a professional!! Love her and everyone there. The only problem is the parking.

This post is in regard to my awful experience at Ochsner Meadowcrest Hospital on Belle Chase Blvd. On July 31, 2021. I was having severe pain in my right side, the right lower quadrant of my abdomen. My brother, who is a retired doctor instructed me to go to the emergency room immediately. I arrived at Ochsner Meadowcrest at 5pm and waited until 1:45am and STILL saw no doctor. However, I did see African American patients who arrived there AFTER me taken care of and left. I expressed my pain to the triage nurse and she screamed at me, was disrespectful and extremely rude. Please pull up the video and everything I am texting will be verified. The following day, I went to East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie and was in the bed seen by the nurse and doctor WITHIN 45 minutes. Conclusion: At Ochsner Meadowcrest, I was in serious pain, was treated disrespectfully and never seen. When I left at 1:45am, I noticed 3 Caucasian people were STILL there and they arrived there BEFORE me. I intend to address this further.

To great Primary Care/Family Practitioners at this location. Dr. Jones and Dr. Gray are both fantastic and make you feel like you are their priority and they actually listen. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Christopher Gray is a goals oriented physician. He is adept at explaining these goals and the ways to achieve them. He is very respectful of the patient. The entire office staff is excellent.

Dr Christopher Gray is attentive, engaged in my care, explains the plan. Couldn't be happier with a family medicine physician. Staff is professional and welcoming. Great experience
