My pup, Astrid, a GSD that is 6 years old. We’ve been having a lot of issues within the house with Astrid. She would go after our other dog and just a fearful dog overall. We did the hybrid program where we had 4 at home sessions and then a 2 week board and train. I love all of updates and daily report cards about Astrid’s progress. Kayla did a wonderful job of training Astrid. It does take a minute to get use to working your dog with the ecollar so just stay patient. After our last session I feel like everything clicked together for me. Astrid is very pleasant to have in the house now and we can actually enjoy having her hang out with us. Thank you Kayla for bringing back the peace in my home and training Astrid so well! Also we use Kayla to board Astrid when we need a babysitter now and it’s very nice because it’s like a little refresher for her. Highly recommend!
I had a GREAT experience with the 2 week board and train. Sabrina did a wonderful job training my ~1.5 year old German Shepherd, Chloe. Chloe was a rescue and exceedingly difficult for me. She’s extremely high energy, highly reactive, and completely lacked training. WOW has she been so much better since getter her back!! Don’t expect a total robot of a dog upon return. Chloe and I are definitely still growing and training together daily. However she went from a dog that I wasn’t sure I could keep, to an amazing pet. Our walks have be so much easier. She knows her commands. And I’ve been AMAZED by how well she walks off leash—something I never would’ve even considered with her prior to training. At first glance the price may seem like a lot, but when you consider the investment and the reward of a trained K9 companion, it’s an amazing deal! Worth noting that the administrative process was super easy and helpful, too. Chloe had some health complications that pushed back her training date, but the company really did a stellar job accommodating us. 10/10 would recommend. And thank you so much, Sabrina!
We had a great experience with K9 Offleash! Our trainer, Kayla, was communicative and open to answering any and all questions we had. After our pup Odin came home, he did need some follow on training with my husband and Kayla scheduled time with us the same week to meet up and work on commands. The customer service we had was exceptional, and we recommend this place to all our friends with puppies!
So very happy with this whole experience. We had a puppy we loved but couldn’t control and it was affecting our lives. Ashley did the training and gave us the tools we needed to keep up with the work she had started. So happy and so is our dog. Professional. Courteous. Friendly. Funny. And, she doesn’t make you feel bad for missing your baby or wanting updates. Her nightly check in was very helpful and eased our concerns. Thank you.
Off Leash K9 Training to the rescue. Our 7 month old golden retriever was very independent, hard headed, stubborn and somewhat of a bully during play time. I read and watched everything I could find on how to correct the unwanted behavior we were experiencing. I truly believe she thought I was her litter mate rather than her owner. She didn’t respond or listen even with initial puppy obedience training. Our experience with Amanda was wonderful. Yes, it was hard being away for 2 weeks but with nightly photos, videos and updates we felt connected with her progress. We are very pleased with our decision to trust the care and training of our girl to Off Leash. We now have a happy, responsive girl who looks forward to her training exercise and the bad behavior, although not completely gone, has pretty much ceased. I’m thankful to know I have a resource and someone I can turn to in the future whenever needed. Thank you Amanda for your loving care and training of our sweet girl.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I worked with Brandon at K9 Offleash for a two week train and board for my chocolate lab. It was a seamless experience and I was completely comfortable leaving him for two weeks because I received photos and videos daily. I had full access to his trainer the entire so I always knew what he was up to and could reach out for an update anytime. Jimmy came back home and I could easily pick what Brandon had taught him!
We were very skeptical about leaving our 6 mo Wheaten, Abby, with a stranger for 2 weeks. The company went above and beyond to answer questions and even visited us in our home to meet Abby and answer more questions. The big day came to leave Abby and when I met her trainer, Sabrina, I knew it was going to be successful. We received daily videos and report cards and to see the documented difference between day 1 and Day 14 is beyond amazing. When Abby has a problem containing all of her energy we can now say ABBY SIT. PLACE. and she calms down almost immediately. We are still continuing to work daily to reinforce the training and help her manage all that puppy hyperactivity. She’s doing great! We highly recommend Off Leash on Rt 17 in Newport News. We can’t say enough about Sabrina and her expertise and love for dogs.
Meet Gryphon….our sweet 8 month old Pit Heeler that we love so dearly but was ruining our everyday life with his poor behaviors and choices. He was nipping his dog brother for no reason, eating all the poop piles, destroying household items, spilling our drinks off the counter, stealing socks, screeching every single morning for attention vs needing to use the bathroom, all over the place on walks with pulling the leash to wanting every person to see and pet him. We tried training ourselves but he out smarted us and would do what he wants. ENTER OUR TRAINER ASHLEY DAIL! Gryphon did the 2 week board and train with Ashley. She went above and beyond with everything. She reached out for a meet and greet before the two week board and train. She was able to see gryphon in our home. Then we dropped him off. The dog we picked up is a TOTALLY different pup! Gryphon waits to go through doors, sits when he is told, lays down, places on objects his favorite, heels next to us on walks, and then gets to break and be excited about all that he is accomplishing. He does not screech in the mornings anymore, he doesn’t nip his brother, he respects our home and property. He looks to us for direction instead of making his own path! They both went through Offleash K-9 training so we have two dogs we can truly speak to. There is so much I could say on how much Ashley loved our boy, took him on multiple files trips a day, and the best part?! NIGHTLY updates with pictures, a story of what they did and how he is doing and a video! I missed our boy so much but felt good knowing he was in Ashley’s hands! She even brought printed out pictures to turnover for use to keep! With board and train you get lifetime training with your trainer if you need it. I look forward to continuing to work with Ashley as needed as our boy grows up. THANK YOU ASHLEY DAIL FOR EVERYTHING! As my husband said last night as we relaxed on the couch with our pups, “I just wanna give Ashley a big hug!”
I left my 20 week old German Shepherd with OFF LEASH Trainer Kayla McGowan for two weeks of on premises training and was completely impressed with the training methodology, care for and professional daily updates for Bailey. When Bailey started training she was young and just starting life but when she came home she was very well behaved and extremely well mannered. Kayla provided daily updates that included diet information, training conducted, general disposition and training videos. It was great to watch Bailey progress and know that she was being cared for at a level that put any concerns to rest. I would not hesitate to recommend Kayla and OFF LEASH to anyone I know and reassure them of the quality training and care their dogs would receive. We will be back for more……Thanks Kayla…
Good training for my year old puppy. The preregistration and scheduling were easy to do and the team worked to accommodate the dates I needed and my schedule conflicts, etc. I did my research and trusted this team even though it required a four hour drive one way. A lot was promised in terms of training outcomes with a guarantee. Kayla, the trainer, delivered and has already followed up to ensure my homework continues to reinforce everything learned during the off leash boarding school. I feel confident that I can reach out anytime to the team to answer questions or refreshers. That is peace of mind while my dog was away during the training and knowing support is available to reinforce skills or provide remedial training if necessary. I recommend board and train over just sending your dog to a pet hotel while you travel.
