I took my dog here twice, and both times she had gashes. At first on her neck due to the prong collars. I use a prong collar at home and she has not had ANY issues. They must've pulled on it really hard. Now she has two scars on her neck. I gave them a benefit of a doubt since I know my dog is hyper but she is not aggressive. And the second time, she had wounds on both of her legs by her foot see photos below. I texted them about it and sent photos. I called them back and no answer. The facility is very small and there are kids running around IN the facility - sometimes barefoot. The place does not look tidy, nor is it clean. And the handlers look disorganized. One time, there was a baby in a crib behind the counter! Yes, that's a right... a newborn baby behind the counter. Also, I visited my dog once while she was in "boarding school" and there was a dog on the treadmill UNATTENDED, on a leash, attached to the treadmill. Unbelievable. This place is probably just starting out - not really sure. But I believe, they take too many dogs - too much for them to handle. They should focus on 3 to 4. They only have 2 large kennels for boarding. Their other kennels are just regular large crates you buy at your normal pet store. The people are super nice though and are very prompt to answer the phone and any questions you may have. However, the website they use for "updates" DOES NOT WORK!!! They said they've had some issues with it, but they have not done anything about it. They do not update you like they said they would. So I had to call and text multiple times to get updates on my dog. And for the couple of times that I did get updates, they were too generic... "Kira played", or "Kira ate, peed, and poop'd". Not the kind of "updates" a parent is looking for. I do not like leaving bad reviews but this one is warranted. I give them 1 star only because of the military discount. But you get what you pay for. If you want to see a difference in facilities, I would advise you visit this place first and another boarding facility. Although the people here are extremely nice, they do not look presentable at all. Please visit first to see if you should leave your precious one here. Otherwise, stay away. They do not have any room for dogs to play or run around. Stay away!!! ****** Okay, now you're forcing me to respond to your ludicrous claims. First of all, your facility is not "big enough". The dogs that are kept in the back are in a kennel just big enough for them to stay still. There's no way they can move around. The room is tiny and too crowded. As I said in my initial review, you had too many dogs. Be honest, you had a Great Dane in one of your kennels, and he was definitely too small for that kennel. Second, it's 2018. It's easy to prove that I called and texted you guys plenty of times and received ONE reply. You guys were the ones that told me to utilize the website Revelation Pets but it does not work! Third, what does my review history have to do with anything. I'm a very honest person. I'm very pragmatic and rational. All of my reviews were true, and they were MY reviews. Look, as I said, you guys seem really nice. But I'm 100% that dog owners should stay away from your building. People can tell as soon as they walk in. The stench is very potent. One more thing... you have padded your reviews dishonestly. Some of the folks that "reviewed" Off The Chain Dog Training work there! You should ask EVERY customer of yours to leave a review. Let's see how that goes. I'm a dog lover. And I was very honest and truthful in my initial review. But you forced me to leave an even MORE HONEST review of your business. And yes... there was a dog on the treadmill left alone when I walked in one time. Geeez.
We had a great experience with Off the Chain Dog training. We will definately bring any other puppies we get to them. They work on what behavior you need modified. They help you learn how to continue having success after the dog comes home. We really appreciated the personalized program and how much they care about the dogs
Took our “Gretchen” to Dana and Ashley and experienced great results. This is our first experience with a Rottweiler, and she gave us endless fits before taking her to them. You must have the mindset when you get your dog home that you MUST keep the training going. You use the same words/commands they use and don’t let your standard lower than the dog trainers’. If you have a stubborn or difficult dog I would recommend taking your dog to them. We enjoy our dog and now take her everywhere we go. I often get compliments when I take Gretchen out in public.
Dana and Ashleigh are compassionate trainers and caretakers. Dana has known my fur babies even before I had adopted them over 4 years ago. She knows how to relate to my Pekingese even Autumn, who had come from an abusive family. I gave entrusted my fur babies to their care and have had very positive experience.
I highly recommend this place the owners Dana and ashlei are very kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable individuals. They will work with you in anyway they can.they have trained several of my fur babies. If u have any questions or want to see my babies during training they allow you too. Everything is thoroughly explained that your baby could go thru not want to eat,or have stress diareah, etc but they do take it to groomers located 2 doors down and give it a bath. They also inform you of feeding and water the proper way. They use many methods of training all safe to ones loved one. I was kept informed on my loved ones progress or if any problems. I like how they have the front set up like a living environment and when I would visit if messes were made they were cleaned immediately, dogs were exercised and water was given they will be training 2 more of my loved ones. Very kind caring ladies . GO CHECK THEM OUT highly recommended
I have watched them do amazing things with all kinds of dogs, from “aggressive” dogs, potty training, leash etiquette, pack behavior, and even service work. One can’t expect immediate results, and training never truest stops. The owners personal service dog is the poster child of the business and everyone says they want their dog to be like him, well it took a year to get him there.
Have had dealings with the owner and dogs for years! Couldn't take your animal to a more loving and compassionate animal lover than Dana. Would entrust any of my babies with her and trust her completely. For her, dogs come first!
HORRIFIED. I visited my pup every other day and my husband picked him up after a week due to lack of seeing ANY results. My husband said he had POOP all over him and was PANTING for water. Workers DO NOT WEAR SHOES and children are present after school. Dana acts professional and may know about dogs but she knows nothing about care and customer service. NOW I KNOW WHY I SIGNED A LEGAL WAIVER FOR ANY EMOTIONAL HARM DONE TO MY POOR DOG. This place should be shut down.
Dropping our dog off for another week of board/train because of our great experience! Our German Shepherd pup came home and we could instantly tell how they’d been working with her. Love it!
If I could make this zero stars I would. My dog went there for two weeks. She was supposed to be potty trained and taught basic commands. She learned NONE of those things. I don’t think she was worked with at all.
