Oglethorpe Speedway Park

My favorite place for dirt track racing. Parking is free. There is a family area for those with kids and not wanting to drink or smoke. Concessions are great. You may bring in a small cooler if you like. There is a small bar. The track was changed up this year. The straight of ways were shortened, and now the pit is across from the track instead of in the middle, which takes away from a lot of the fun for me as a spectator.

Had a great time at the monster truck show! A great family event. They should invest in getting card readers for the concession stand or a sign that states cash only. For first timer's, it was a bummer to wait in line for 30 minutes just to find out we couldn't get anything.

We took the kids to the monster truck show tonight. The show started nearly 30 min late. We came an hour from SC where my husband is stationed, so for us this this was a big deal. The trucks were AMAZING when they were running. They have an entertainer that comes out and fills in the gaps when the trucks aren’t running. The jokes were really inappropriate and I felt a bit disrespected by the lack of tact. The toilets in the ladies room were overflowing or leaking and there was water and mud ( I hope it was mud) everywhere. There was also no tissue to be found. The announcer was a bit much as well. He spoke a lot ( he spoke a whole lot) about random stuff and wasn’t accurate with the timing of the event. However, I really think with some proper training and material he could do better. His enthusiasm was outstanding. The monster truck ride was cool. My kids loved it. We paid $80 for tickets to the event. It’s pretty pricey considering there is maybe 25 min of trucks actually preforming. This place has tons of potential. I hope they can get it together.

The speedway was unorganized with the ticket booth, the food stalls, direction signs, the VIP area was a joke and the stadium only had a hand rail for only a short area for support. Yes the show was good. But the Negative was stronger the positive. Don't buy the VIP tickets

We always have fun at O.S.P. if you want to see some paint swapping fun racing come out and join us at the dirt but leave the dirt for the next race.
