Old Broadway Synagogue

About

The Old Broadway Synagogue is the home of the Chevra Talmud Torah Anshei Marovi, an orthodox congregation that was founded in 1911.

Story

The Old Broadway Synagogue is a warm, welcoming, diverse and dynamic Orthodox synagogue in southwest Harlem. We have been serving the Harlem Jewish community for over a century and are leading the Harlem Jewish community towards the future.

"The Old Broadway Synagogue is home to a warm, diverse orthodox congregation that was founded in the the West Harlem neighborhood of Manhattanville in 1911. Our historic building was erected in 1923 and we have been holding services on Old Broadway ever since. We do not have a fulltime rabbi so we share the responsibilities of leading the services, reading the Torah and giving divrei torah. We have Shabbos and holiday dinners from time to time and we have a hot kiddush every Saturday after services. We welcome visitors and newcomers. To help us plan, please contact us in advance by emailing Paul at [email protected]. Looking forward to meeting you!"

A. Traditional & warm surroundings and. unbiased congregants makes this a jewel in the ruff .
Very special, only remaining orthodox shul in Harlem. Founded in 1911 as Chevra Talmud Torah Anshei Marovi, people from the West. Photos can be seen in the book, "Ten Times Chai: 180 Orthodox Synagogues of New York City."
In the midst of all the noise of wall street theres a time. when you have to be thankful for what you have.
A simple pleasant environment.
Traditional Jewish house of Prayer, good people.
Love it , people are so nice and warm
It is a nice, warm, friendly shul
Translated by Google Hello to all worshipers. My wife Broria and I were happy to visit the synagogue for the third time. Enjoy the prayer, the atmosphere and the warm welcome. The honorable Kiddush organized by Shaul Moshe and Igor who consolidates the community. I was happy to add as many verses as I could to add joy. "May Moshe be happy". I recommend going to this synagogue that maintains the Orthodox customs Best regards Moshe Didi Moshe ben Shimon, Haifa, Israel Original
