What an amazing spot to dine. One side is take out and little shop, the other side is dine in. Dinning here takes time as many customers had many questions and very talkative with the staff. The waitress was kind and polite. The food options were extensive and delicious. The music was a little loud but it reminded me of Puerto Rico. The art on the walls were beautiful. Overall a great experience. It was a very busy spot and glad to see it. Parking was not a challenge for me on side of building but it can be if lot is filled and street parking is involved. Parking: Side of building has about 9 spots only then it is street parking.
it's been a long time since I last ate here. I looks like they have some more seating which is awesome and looks like the sell alcohol which is a plus. the food though is still tasty as ever. I had something I never had before but damn it was tasty.
Terrible service. The server seem in a bad mood, like the food was hers that she was serving a little bit. And just terrible. Usually the food is really good, but my experience today was terrible. Will never have the server again. She was horrible. If you don’t like your job, please find something you like to do so you don’t make other pay for your bad choices. The permit was plain, no flavor at all and it was pale like if it was boiled instead of bake. $30. In the trash

I had the lobster with sweet plantains and my date had stew chicken. Very flavorful foods and nice staff. Improvement in Interior design is definitely the only thing missing. Will be coming here again.
I waited 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes for someone to take my order… other quest were served soup however none was offered to me non Hispanic definitely made me feel unwelcome.. all customer must be served the same way.. I was very disappointed with the terrible service. Also the waitress did not check to see if I was okay or needed anything. She chatted with several customers in length., not sure if I will go back to be treated in the manner I was treated.
The Best Puerto Rican FOOD in NEW JERSEY !!
After a fun day exploring at the Adventure Aquarium , we decided to look for Spanish food nearby. Old San Juan Restaurant was one of the one's that came up. When we pulled up to the location there was a line for takeout usually a good sign. Luckily, NJ had just recently opened up "indoor dining" at 25% capacity. The food was SCRUMPTIOUS, just like some good ole' Puerto Rican Abuela's homecooking!! Service was EXCELLENT!!...If you're ever in this area... DEFINITELY make a pit stop here!
