On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

My first comment is that I love the food at On the Border. My review at one star is for this location only. The last two meals I had at this location were horrible. No restaurant should treat customers the way we were treated. The length of the meal was about 2 hours. Not once did anyone apologize or make any attempt 2 excuse themselves. I will never eat at this location again. Fortunately there are many many good choices within a mile of this location. and also fortunately there is another On the Border not too far away in Rocky Hill which always has great service and you get in and out of there in 30 minutes.

The food was pretty good and delicious. The service was really fast and the employees always asked if we needed anything else. Even one of them holded the door for us witch never happends in other restaurants. But the chips that they give you at the start are kind of too salty. But literary come back.

Always have loved On The Border! Absolutely amazing fish tacos! Great happy hour menu as well.

We love On the Border, however last night visit was a little disappointing. My wife’s meal seemed to be small compared to other times. Mariana our server was very nice but wasn’t very efficient. It was a bit of everything. Dirty plates weren’t picked up for a while. It wasn’t packed either. There might be a little of a training issue there.

Mostly good service; food is usually fine. Always fresh, and almost always cooked right.
