Absolute blast. Very nice area. You gotta go there. By the way, the tour guide made the walk through the cave a fun experience. 15 bucks for adults. 9 for the kids. Very reasonable.

Great place to explore underground on a hot rainy or cold day. Bring sturdy shoes and a jacket for sure.

First of all the caverns were named for an Iroquois tribe and Onondaga translated means "People of the Mountain". Just in case you were wondering. It is one of the most active caverns we've been to, fantastic surprises are awaiting all aspiring spelunkers. It is loaded with thousands of active stalactites, stalagmites, columns, Lily Pads and flowstones formations they are everywhere you look. The massive twin 14' tall stalagmites, estimated age of 5,000,000 years old are impressive. The room of the "Rock of Ages" column is the star, that is surrounded in vibrant colors and hundreds of stalactites & stalagmites it was magnificent and overwhelming. My personal favorite though is the 60' ramp up the side of the white flowstones formation to the pool room where the drips have and are creating beautiful 'Lily Pad' formations. This place is a photographers dream. You'll thoroughly enjoy.
