A most memorable experience. Mary is personable and professional, opening our hearts to the journeys of wonderful immigrant chefs right here in our own backyard. So excited I discovered Open Kitchen DC and look forward to attending many more events. Our night at Yume Sushi was so special.

Not only was the food amazing, but I learned about the history and music of a new culture and the personal story of the restaurant owner. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for the food I was eating! I highly recommend this experience!

A fun outing with friends that included a delicious meal and a fascinating coffee ceremony. We learned so much about Ethiopian cuisine and how it's made, and will definitely do another one of these events at a different restaurant in the future.

This was so much fun. It took me out of my normal comfort zone of food I usually go for and in my own community. Hearing from the owners and their personal story made the food even more enjoyable. I am looking forward to the next event and will be bringing along some friends to join me!
