Mission

We are a professional non-profit opera company with a reputation for excellence in both opera and arts education. We produce two to three Main Stage Operas a year for adults, students and families and offer a range of programs in arts education. Simply put, our mission is to enrich the cultural lives of people in Delaware and its surrounding regions. We accomplish this through a variety of ways, by 1) producing the finest opera in the region; 2) developing and deepening innovative arts education programs; 3) discovering and engaging a variety of audiences; 4) enhancing the career development of talented artists; and, 5) encouraging cooperative partnerships with other arts agencies and non-profits, and in so doing, keeping our work affordable and accessible to all.
