I got there and started shopping. They had lots of stuff but I found three items I needed. I've been fighting cancer so I have a hard time standing for long but I was good until I got in line. I stood in line for 45 minutes. Finally I was next in line and the manager let her friend go in front of me. I was pissed . There was a very long line behind me and the managers friend said she wasn't going to do that. So disappointed. I might not look ill but she doesn't know my story. Or the stories of the other people in line. The managers friend was in a wheelchair. I would have liked to be able to sit down in the line for 45 minutes. Don't go to this place not worth it. Way better places to go instead.
Horrible place to thrift!!! They don’t deserve the 1 star I was forced to give them. The empty parking lot on a Sunday afternoon should’ve been my first red flag. They have overpriced garbage, extremely RUDE employees and the manager is the worst of them all, VERY INCOMPETENT, lacks basic customer service skills. I spent over $50 and was treated like crap on the way out, everyone has bad attitudes. It’s weird, basically a landfill that they’re charging retail prices for. Such a waste of space. I wouldn’t go here if it was the last thrift store in Vegas.
Great place to find good bargains. Great selection. Staff is helpful, place is clean and organized. And lots of toys!
Hi this is one of my favorite store Bertha is an excellent worker we need more people like Bertha five star for her. Thank you
Had a good selection of stuff, but had the most expensive furniture I've ever seen in my life. Expect to pay about 500% more than you would pay at a typical thrift store. I'm talking hundreds of dollars for simple pieces of furniture.
As an out-of-towner I have never seen an Opportunity Village store So I popped in out of curiosity. I love to thrift and frequent Goodwill Savers and the Salvation Army for anything I can find, so naturally I was excited to see a new thrift store chain. My first impressions were great as I saw the size of the store was really huge. Walking in you were greeted with rows and rows of warehouse shelves each highly saturated with junk. I do love me some junk to dig through! I happily started scanning and sifting through each item row after row. though my happiness started to fade pretty quickly as I noticed each item I was slightly interested in had a higher price tag, or at least higher than I’m used to seeing for the same item in other thrift stores. I was losing hope fast, but the last straw was when I saw a used Polaroid camera in the box priced at 74.99. I had to take a step back as this was a common item seen in most thrift stores I’ve been to and from what Ive seen is usually priced at around $5-10. Opportunity village decided to price this item like it was the 1980s and this was top-of-the-line technology. I Continued on to finish inspected the whole store and headed straight out. I was a bit let down by the whole experience and probably won’t be returning. It makes sense now why their shelves were so saturated with junk as they are unable to move the items due to the pricing. Still I am happy to see a new thrift store pop up and seem to thrive. I love thrift stores and it pains me to give a bad review. others may find a positive experience, you never know with thrift stores.. I just can’t get over the prices I saw as my first impression, and will not be back to purchase or donate anything here.
I love shopping there and I am a regular. However, the manager is always mean and has a bad attitude towards the customers and her staff. She is literally like this every time I go. If something is not priced and you inquire about it she gets upset for some reason and says she's not ready to price it. This has happened multiple times and not just to myself.
I went to Opportunity Village Thrift Store to upcycle my kids excess toys. As soon as we pulled up an elderly gentleman with a pony tail proceeds to ask us if what we have is toys and we responded with "yes", to which he replied "oh here, I'll take care of those we have a bin for these" he then very quickly and without notice threw them in the trash bin. Thousands of dollars of name brand toys just thrown away, if we knew he was going to just toss them we would've distributed them ourselves to families in need and low income families with kids. Absolutely wasteful, he then explains after tossing them that "they have an excess of toys". If he would've told us before hand instead of just grabbing our stuff and throwing them away, something we could've done ourselves, we would have never come to the donation center. Trying to avoid more stuff going into the dumpster and landfills, opportunity village seems to be wasteful and the purpose of thrifting, and up cycling gently used items seems to be lost on the folks of opportunity village. I am so ashamed and angry at myself for even thinking of donating stuff here. Do yourself a favor and donate elsewhere where the purpose of thrift isn't overlooked and where they won't just throw your goods in the dumpster. Never going to donate or buy anything from the opportunity village thrift system after years of donating, a shameful and pitiful excuse for a thrift store now.
I arrived the Opportunity Village Thrift Store and with 6 minutes until close and after driving 30 minutes and I wasn't allowed in the shop which it was because there was a new girl there and she didn't know me and so I didn't get to go in there even though it took them I don't know 5 or 6 minutes after 5:00 so I could have had at least 10 minutes to shop and maybe they should update their website and other places that they have signs saying that they're open until 5:00 because the manager lady told me that they close at 4:45 the doors closed and they don't let anybody in which and they must have just started doing that cuz I've got here with 10 minutes left before and then able to shop Wast
- Exactly what Thrift Stores USED to be! - Pricing in this place is like rock bottom... what thrift stores used to be! - Selection is more than a standard thrift store.. with a big and random mix of flooring, furniture. Clothing area is MASSIVE. Everything is super organized! - Staff was amazing, friendly, helpful. Pinch me somebody! -nMy new go to and ONLY thrift store moving forward.
