Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of New Mexico, P.A.

Here it is the week before Christmas, and my dentist informs me I have an abcessed tooth that is cracked and can't be saved. I was able to get a same day consultation with Dr. Mitchell and was scheduled for surgery the next day. Dr. Mitchell is very kind, caring, and a great surgeon! His team is also very professional, and everyone in the office understands that most patients are rather nervous, so they go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible!

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Candelaria. Months ago, he was gentle with my daughter who needed a papilloma removed from the roof of her mouth. I was so grateful for his demeanor that I returned this week when I needed a second opinion about a tooth extraction. Dr. Candelaria made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. He listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. He is an incredible surgeon and I had a great experience. Things are healing really well so far, and I am so grateful to be on the other side of what was a rather traumatic experience until I came to OMSA!

This is the friendliest medical office I've ever been to. I was asked medical health questions, ailments and medicine allergies. The Doctor and medical staff immediately took care of me in a friendly and professional manner. I was also released in a timely manner. Thank you to everyone in this staff for all you do for all of us sick people.

I always enjoy visiting OMSA and Dr. Mitchell. They are very efficient and thorough. They completely explain what is happening and are cordial and helpful with you. I would recommend them to anyone needing their type of surgery.

Extremely happy with experience I had yesterday. Was quick and almost painless and only took Tylenol twice after I got home. Most definitely would recommend Dr Mitchell.

I have immense respect for Dr. CANDELARIA and his staff. The office is efficiently run and presents itself as such. The timeliness of every procedure is no nonsense, they are a pristine machine, well rehearsed and effective. There is a method to excellence and this OMSA group has earned my respect.

Awful experience. Doctor at one point smacked my chest/shoulder area after I said a swear word. He told me in almost an annoyed that I was in his presence voice, "don't do that". He then threw his tools down and walked out of the room without saying anything. This was due to him not waiting for me to get numb before he went stabbing away in my mouth. Of course it hurt me. And being an ARMY veteran, yes, swear words come out of my mouth with ease. With the SMALLEST amount of patience and a little bit of respect the entire confrontation could have been avoided. Not only that, the ladies at the front desk were extremely rude as well. 350 bucks to be assaulted and have a tooth pulled. 0 out of 5 stars. Me, my family, nor any of my law enforcement friends will ever go there again. -This was Dr. Candelaria btw. Do yourself a favor and avoid him at all costs if you have to go there.

I gave 5 stars only because I couldn't give 6. What an amazing bunch of people. Super friendly and professional. I don't think I could have had a stressful situation be better than my visit was. Thank you!!

Of course I will return! Today I finished my treatment plan with Dr. Candelaria at OMSA. It was a long process but worth every minute and every dime. Dr Candelaria came highly recommended. His reputation serves him well as a long time experienced Oral Max Surgeon in ABQ. If you are from ABQ, then you may even know him. With that said, I still did my homework and found it an easy decision to go with Dr Candelaria. He took the time to explain the process and educate me. He helped me to gain the confidence I needed to move forward with the plan. It wasn’t always easy but OMSA made it the best it could be. The staff was also amazing and patient with me when I was grouchy. Dr. Candelaria gave me his blessing today and sent me on my way with a healthy enough mouth for Dr. Chris Kim at Osuna Dental to finish the plan with beautiful teeth. He asked if I could return to say hello so he could see my new smile. Yes Dr Candelaria, of course I would be happy to return. Anik

I just had my procedure yesterday, but I can honestly say it was the most peaceful and pleasant experience with Dr. Mitchell and staff.
