I have been a member of OTF Goat Blocks for 2.5 years with 350+ classes attended - 99.9% at this studio. I have struggled with sticking to an exercise program in the past and OTF has been a game changer for me. My experience has been outstanding. Great, responsive front desk folks, fun, welcoming, and challenging coaches, clean and nice facility. I like that the workout is easily and transparently dialed up/down based on your current fitness level and mood!, and I feel stronger than I have in years. I encourage anyone to give it a try; it has certainly been one of the best decisions I've made!
Oh I love, love, love the Goat Blocks. I've been to many studios in the area, but the SAs and coaches here are so fun, so caring, and there's always a great energy in the room. At Goat Blocks, I've learned how to go faster and be stronger than I ever have in my life. No joke. I used to be a distance runner who didn't care how fast I went - which was fine. But after 200 classes at OTF, many at the Goat Blocks, I'm fast! I'm a me that I barely recognize. This confidence bleeds into many other parts of my life and supports me on the daily when other things get tough.
Coach Dylan from Goat Blocks is a rockstar! Anyone who can keep me coming back to 6:15am classes when I hate both mornings and exercise is a phenom. Super friendly and has an uncanny ability to unite the entire class together ....she also makes you feel seen and keeps a keen eye on everyones form too. Thanks coach!!
This is by far my favorite OTF location. Besides it being 7 blocks walking distance, the staff here are so welcoming and loving. They really care. I always have a great time working out, and even if I’m having an off day, I feel supported. I would recommend this OTF to everyone.
I can’t recommend Orangetheory enough. The workouts are intense but doable at any fitness level, and you will see results in strength, power, endurance, and the mirror if you are committed. Goat Blocks in particular is a standout location. The coaches are incredible, and you get the sense that they are just as invested in your success as you. The front desk staff is fun and engaging. The studio and surrounding area always look clean. The best part is the overall engagement with the other members. Goat Blocks really tries to make it a community experience with events both in and out of the studio, so it becomes more than just another fitness class which you are going through the motions. Nothing is perfect of course, but my gripes are more nitpicks than anything. Some classes fill up super quick, so it can be hard to get your preferred time. This is fairly easily mitigated by booking the class in advance though I highly recommend scheduling even a month out, just remember to show up!. The other gripe is just the fact that it is downtown and parking can be a struggle, but that is a downtown issue, not unique to the studio itself. Definitely give Orangetheory a try if you are undecided the first class is free anyway, so no excuses.
A few years ago, I found OTF while living in another city and loved it! I was an athlete when I was younger, rowed crew in college and worked with a nutritionist and body building coach in my early 20s so I'm very familiar with most of the OTF elements. I then moved to a place where there wasn't a studio so I made do at home and a love of extreme sports. I then slipped a disk in 2017, tore my rotator cuff in 2018, followed by Covid and a torn meniscus in 2020 and a pregnancy/ birth in 2021. Needless to say, I gained weight and my fitness suffered drastically. I recently picked Orange Theory back up thinking it would help me get some semblance of mobility and strength back, but it's just not as awesome as I remembered. The coaches really make it or break it for me and so far the ones at this location have not impressed me. The 3 I have been to seem young and a bit full of themselves and clueless as to how to coach people that aren't already fit. They offer very few modifiers which as a woman that gave birth 3 months ago is pretty frustrating! My core strength is practically gone and some of the floor moves are just too much. I've also heard one of them give blatantly wrong advise about rowing form. I could see this location not being very great/ downright harmful for someone with little fitness back ground. I still want to love OTF but I think I need to try some other coaches/ locations to really make it worth the expense.
I can’t say enough good things about this studio. Every single person who works there, from the coaches to the cheery front desk staff, make it a pleasant experience to get fit. I am on the autism spectrum, and have both sensory and spatial issues as a result. They have stepped up to make accommodations to make the OTF experience work for me, which is commendable. I have always felt overwhelmed and like an awkward outsider at the “boutique” gyms until now. The workout works... I have lost several percentage points of body fat and have gained those points in muscle. Getting healthier everyday. Thank you for the equal opportunity to get fit.
I started Orangetheory a month or so ago after a year of personal training. Coming in, I felt like I had some base knowledge to build off of, but I've never taken a group class before ever. I was immediately put at ease by the front desk staff and the wonderful, hands-on coaches. Every workout is a slaughterhouse but you can always modify your intensity if you need to. The facilities are super clean, never smell like a sweaty gym sock seriously, how do they even do it? and everyone is friendly and welcoming. More than a few times I've had encouragement from fellow Theorists while doing my workout and it just goes to show what a supportive community Goat Blocks has fostered. Thanks y'all for everything you do.
What can I say...the Goat Blocks OTF have me hooked. Couldn't be happier with this gym, even though it is a big company you would never know it with all the amazing personal touches the staff and management go out of their way to do each and every time I'm there. They truly work hard on creating community and it sure feels like it. I like the design of this workout and it really works for me- from the best class time schedule to the effectiveness of the AMAZING coaches. Getting a report sent to my email about my work out is motivational, the ease of app scheduling is so convenient , and the music-music-music makes the hard class pass by before you know it. I'm so glad I finally found my fitness home base. Thanks Goats
I drive an extra 15 mins from my home gym to work out at this location. The front desk staff are incredible! They always remember my name and are super helpful and they keep the place super clean. The coaches are amazing, shout out to Molly and Shayne who always remember im pregnant and come to me with modifications before class starts. I really appreciate this studio and the good people that work here. I had a really bad experience at the Powell location and this has been a happy place for me to come and workout.
