This place should just be shut down. It's a useless operation no one communicates no one call back. I've been trying to get them to respond for 3 months and nothing! I think the people that work there are inconsiderate unprofessional and uncaring. I'll totally wrong thing for a pain clinic. I don't know what the heck they're doing all day besides sitting around and drinking coffee I guess. Bad management!!
Hey, could you give them another chance? Perhaps share your problem directly before placing it in writing. They may be more responsive than you think. If not, ask for the supervising manager or nurse or call your provider. It is your right to use this system anytime, but think about how you would feel if someone at your job bypassed you. These can't be removed and can leave lasting harm to a good clinic. If after you speak to them and you are still not pleased, perhaps you can write then and state you tried and got no help. We could use a little more thought before we act at this grime time. Sorry if I sound preachy.
I have been going to Dr. Chen for years for injections. She and the Staff are absolutely wonderful. They receive 5⃣+ Yet, if you, as I, are suffering from a serious, debilitating, extreme pain, and suffering disease, throughout your body, I do suggest that you seek a "Chronic Pain Treatment Specialist", who understands how debilitating this truly is. As again, I have been going for years, and I cannot tolerate all of the injections, for the now, many different part's effected by the Disease throughout my body, and with the injections only lasting a short period of time, I am right back in horrific, debilitating, pain, and suffering, again, only having to repeat the cycle of injections. : If you are not as bad as I, I Highly Recommend this, as again, they are wonderful.
I had an appt. Feb 9. I had an MRI on jan 31. At my appt they didnt have the MRI and it was a useless visit. I called for a trigger point injection but no longer needed it shoulder pain that subsided. I made a phone appt. With Dianna Clapper. .she called and still didnt have my MRI results 3 weeks after I'd had the imaging she said she couldnt do anything until she saw the MRI. She said shed call me early the next week. She never called. I've been in debilitating back pain. Fractured vertebra, severe collapsed disc, scoliosis. She sucks. Still haven't received call after my initial visit which was a month ago. Really disappointed in their service.
How is it that I have degenerative scoliosis and NO ONE cared here? No one mentioned it. It is really scary to know that there are doctors- especially those who teach others- that would miss this. If my shoulder is highly elevated, a bulge on one side of my lower back, and I have shooting pain down the leg, pain in my ribs, and loss of bladder control- wouldn't that mean something? My MRI shows it. I have stenosis too. Don't all websites say that if you start experiencing bladder control loss, that you should see a doctor and be treated?
So thankful for my Dr's at the CPC. Both locations have been awesome. Yes it can take a long time for referrals, phone calls etc, but it is well worth it. Both Dr Guggenheim and recently Dr S Christiansen have been instrumental in my improvements. Great listeners, full reviewed and knew my history prior to visiting, accurate diagnosis and offer sound solutions to my pain.i walk daily because of them.
Honestly, I’m quite shocked by all these horrendous reviews. Having been a patient with this clinic for about 4 years, I find them so inaccurate as to question their authenticity. Their appalling accounts are such a dramatic departure from my own experience, I can’t help but suspect many of these have been written by people who’ve never actually been treated here — perhaps prompted by one or two disgruntled patients. I’ve always found the staff to be notably polite and patient, even ensuring I don’t forget to have them validate my parking ticket. I’ve never been made to wait longer than 15 minutes — typically it’s more like 5-10. When I call in to make appointments, they know me by name and work hard to schedule me, even when it seems there are no openings. My pathology is quite complex with several overlapping diagnoses. As such, I see many specialists/practitioners here, including Amanda St John, Alena Guggenheim, Jordan Graham & Stephen Boyd. Contrary to what other reviews claim, I’ve experienced nothing but the most attentive, compassionate care — from each and every one of them. They take their time with me — never rush through my appointments — convey genuine concern and consideration. Not once have I felt they were being dismissive or skeptical of my many and varied structural, psychological and emotional complaints. Quite the opposite; I’m often amazed at their determination to help me understand and manage my pain rather than be utterly crippled by it. I can’t tell you what a relief it’s been to feel so SEEN and HEARD after decades of being treated as though I’m exaggerating or over-reacting — to feel as though I have a dedicated team of people who sincerely care about my well-being — to know that I no longer have to carry the impossibly heavy burden of my chronic, debilitating pain on my own. I’ve got nothing but the deepest gratitude for this clinic and those who work here. Please — try it out — I’m quite certain you’ll agree.
I'm really grateful we have this wonderful resource in Portland. Dr Guggenheim is the best doctor I've ever seen. She is so wonderful to actually sit down and listen to your story. I was diagnosed with EDS and have improved thanks to her. I've also seen Gina Purl for rolfing who works magic. Jennifer Hessick is a great massage therapist. It can sometimes be hard to schedule because they are so busy. I hope they can expand to see more patients more often.
I made an appointment with Skye Lynn Jordan LMT for a medical massage for my husband, who is having a trouble with tightness in legs after groin muscle injury. The receptionist was incredibly unfriendly. They made him wait for one hour, and simply cancelled his appointment without any reason. The therapist did not even see him. The receptionist was simply rude. It is extremely disturbing to have such horrible service for a patient, who is in pain and really needed help. They should be trained better. I do not recommend this office to anyone.
My appointment with who I thought was an active surgeon left me really disappointed and upset! I was desperately looking for a surgeon who would give me a third opinion on lower back surgery. I needed a pretty sophisticated surgery done on my back and wanted a really good surgeon. I drove from out of town for the appointment. After going over my MRI and my options I was told "Oh, I don't perform surgeries anymore." He referred me to another surgeon to discuss my options. So I was not only out the huge amount of money but my time and gas not to mention the pain I went through in the drive there! Not happy AT ALL. I suggest that these doctors should have it noted in their title if no longer performing surgery, otherwise is it not false advertising by referring to them and listing them as surgeons along with other active surgeons???? How about Dr. ?, Surgeon Inactive? Oh my gosh, I just happened to look at the business card I picked up on my way out of this appointment it reads that the person I thought was a Surgeon and who I met with is listed as an "Instructor". hmm what happened to my request to meet with a Surgeon for a third opinion when I called? Well OHSU?
