Oriental Food Mart

Loved this store because of the location and variety packed in such a small space, but after today, I'll be going to the LR Asian market instead. The specific produce I was after had mold on it. Figured the shipment might have just been exposed to the heat or something, no big deal; it happens. Was hoping maybe they had more in the back. Approached the owner asking if they had anything fresher in the back. I wasn't rude. I was genuinely just hoping they had more in the back instead. He got mad and told me it was fresh. I pointed out the mold. He said it wasn't mold. It was black, fuzzy, and growing on the leaves of the herb. I'm not new to this type of herb. It's not like I didn't know what I was looking at. We have our own garden beds and I've been working with food long enough to know what the heck mold is. I wasn't going to argue with a grown man about something I could clearly see myself and he was clearly taking personally. For the health of my family, I can't trust shopping here any longer. It's one thing to have some produce accidentally go bad prematurely. It's another to blatantly lie to customers and argue, possibly endangering their health. He was sitting at the computer the whole time. He could have just apologized and said they were out until the next shipment or gone in back and seen if they had any without mold. The LR store also has pricing on everything, which is nice. This location has always been a bit of a guessing game at the register on several items. If you're going for anything shelf-stable, you're probably good.

Awesome food store lots of frozen seafood you cant get at the big box stores. They even have squid jerky. I highly recommend this store for authentic oriental food.

Very Friendly. Great variety of goods and produce for such a small store.

This store was a bit tricky to find, but has a lot of hard to find (in this area) items at great prices. I know there's another Asian market nearby, but I haven't been there to compare. Either way, I give this place thumbs up.
