Cheap building materials with paints, tools, hardware, and garden supplies. Not the same selection as Home Depot BUT you are supporting your local community AND saving a good amount of CASH. Love this place.

Wonderful space for selection, good pricing, knowledgeable staff. Locally owned an operating is always a bonus. What’s not in store is probably online an can fulfill the property management/ construction / home improvement aspects in life for DIY project people or subcontractors.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The Owner Joan is nice but you never deal with her. Instead you get the disgruntled late 30s balding guy who is behind the counter and he is terrible at his job. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!! There are several other hardware stores like Ace True Value on Knickerbocker and the new Benjamin Moore store on Flushing across the street. Save your time and money and NEVER GO HERE! Would do 0 stars if I could.

So much better than a big box store like Home Depot. Jason assisted us two days in a row and was super helpful and personable. Prices are decent. Selection is good. Will be back!

Awesome place!! IF YOU ARE JUST MINDING YOUR BUSINESS AND LOOKING FOR A LOCAL STORE IN BROOKLYN THAT HAS LITERALLY EVERYTHING THIS IS A PLACE FOR YOU. I never leave reviews but I feel like there’s so many negative reviews here that had nothing to do with the store itself and what the store offers. So I decided not to listen to other reviewers and stop by!! So happy that I discovered this place! They got literally EVERYTHING you might need!! I mean everything I stopped by to see if they happen to have shellac and end up finding everything from awesome assortment of hardwoods, wood stains to high grits of sand paper, wood glue, all kinds of hardware. Happy to support small local business. Will be back soon!! Thanks guys!

I haven’t yet been, but my friends who have, all recommend highly... it’s a little far for me since I live near Myrtle/Broadway, but when I get the chance, I definitely want to check it out. And I wanted to help sway the tenor of the reviews, as it seems clear that they had an incident with a customer who happened to be wearing a branded sweatshirt. A single misunderstanding has affected The reviews so profoundly, it seems unfair. I’ve heard nothing but good things from my friends, so I look forward to visiting in the near future.

Pretty unhelpful. The store is plastered with signs about everything they won't do for you, and long lists of everything they won't accept returns on. I wouldn't go there unless you're a seasoned professional who knows exactly what they want, and maybe not even then. A woodworker in the area told me they were more expensive than Home Depot, so he didn't bother, even though they were closer.

Any word on the status of employment with the individual in the video and Oriental Lumber? Has he been terminated yet? In the video, he claims that his office is "there" while pointing at the store front. No one is buying the idea that he's a customer wearing a hoodie. For the sake of your business, it is best to come clean, send an apologize on behalf of the piece of garbage you have working for you, and get rid of him.

terrible service. Kieth sent me a Credit Card Authorization form, then told me that I can only use a credit card if I go there in person. Then they told me that they don't deliver, when they do. This went on for a couple of hours. I called and tried again the next day. They said they would deliver and accept the CC auth. via email. Kieth gave me every reason why they couldn't accept my Company CC, that has our COMPANY NAME ON IT... All the way down to the signature didn't match perfectly. I finally canceled the order. Kieth sucks and I would never recommend Oriental Lumber. I would rather wait two weeks from anyone else.
