The Orpheum Theatre is s 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts center located in the heart of downtown Wichita. Built in 1922 and designed by architect John Eberson, the Orpheum Theatre is the first atmospheric theatre built in the United States. The historic theatre features world-class entertainment and serves as a resource for local and national music, dance and theatre. Due to its architectural significance, beauty, rich history, and location, the Orpheum is a culturally-filled niche within the Wichita community. The Orpheum is an SMG managed facility.
