Oxford Cleaners

Oxford Cleaners were fantastic. They were so friendly and very reasonably priced for a wash and fold. Definitely recommend them and will be back next time we’re in New York!

I DO NOT recommend Oxford Cleaners at all. I took six shirts and 6pounds of clothes to wash and fold. They charged me $8 each shirt when their prices say $3, no explanation given. They lost a pair of my socks and they fold the clothes terribly, rhey don't even make and effort for it not to wrinkle; you get your clothes all mashed up together in a ball.

Unlike Mike's review from a year ago, I love Oxford Cleaners. I actually went to Jay Cleaners first, and felt that Jay probably the owner was overbearing, overly theatrical and seemed more interested in making jokes than answering questions. The breaking point with Jay Cleaners came when I brought in a suit jacket with a stubborn stain. After two attempts at cleaning it, it didn't come out at all. I took the same jacket to Oxford Cleaners, and they got rid of the entire stain completely in the first try. Plus, the man and woman at Oxford Cleaners were...and continue to be...very professional, friendly, organized and have a very tidy shop unlike Jay Cleaners, which usually had bags of clothes cluttering the entry area. Again, I love Oxford Cleaners. Try it for yourself and compare.

Wash and Fold Pick up and Delivery Service is the BEST! The guy who comes to pick up and drop off our wash and fold is like 'speed racer!' I'll call and he will be at my door in minutes. It almost seems like he teleports to my door. He is so soft spoken, but really friendly. We asked them to use our own detergent which they did with NO UPCHARGE! Whaaaaa? I know! They charge a bit more per pound than some of the OTHER 'cleaners' in the area, but we've been duped by a couple OTHER laundry businesses that would say that they only charge $1 a pound, but then they would charge me 10 more pounds than I actually have in the bag! So, I'll happily pay the 'correct' price per weight any day at Oxford Cleaners, even if it's 25 cents more per pound than their competitors. I've been very happy with their wash and fold delivery service. They don't bind socks - which I dislike. They also don't overfold the underwear. I like that they lay it flat. I'm sure if you have a specific request, they would be willing to work with your request. The lady and gentleman who normally answers the phone isn't the friendliest, but if you can get past that, they do a good job, charge your correctly, and pick up/deliver in a moments call! WORST cleaners in New York City. I received a top with BLEACH STAINS on it. To make matters worse, they said there are bleach stains bec I had the shirt washed and folded and not dry cleaned. So are they telling me they feel they can damage my clothes bec I didn't pay for the more expensive service? It's a shame since we've been going to them regularly, only to be treated so poorly. Really upset with their service and never coming back.

Amazing service! Always professional and quick. Very accommodating to whatever garment care you need. Beat in the area for sure!

$26 to clean my $1000 down jacket and it came back with no issues with stains gone? Perfect 5 stars.

Awesome work and friendly people! I had a veryyyy old dirty white coat with a ton of stains it was actually my aunts coat before it was mine so I don’t even know how long some of the stains had been there and they got them all! Compare the color to the hood, which they said they couldn’t clean because it was fox fur. I had taken the coat to another cleaner first, but they told me it was so dirty they probably couldn’t fix it, so they recommended oxford. I will be sure to recommend them in the future as well!

IM never going back to this place again!! they speak English only if they getting a profit. If you have a issue .... Well all of a sudden they don't know a word of English.. I tried JAYs on 9th and 44th st. and it was the best dry cleaners EVER.. trust me, you will be completely satisfied!!
