The selection is super large! I’m from out of state, so it was nice to find a large comic book store. They also had a huge manga collection, and a lot of stuff for kids! I got quite a few comics for myself and siblings. The prices were reasonably priced. I do think the staff interaction could’ve been better. Usually, when I go to a comic store, I get greeted/welcomed and have a nice conversation at the checkout or at least get ask if I need any help. I got none of that, no hello, or how are you, etc. Even at check out, I just got told my total. I don’t expect much other than a hello and maybe one check in, but to not even get that felt kinda cold. : otherwise though, I enjoy my visit I able to just explore and check out their products. Edit: seems to be a trend in the reviews that poc get ignored :/
I highly recommend Oxford Comics & Games especially for online ordering. Their selection is excellent and the customer service has been fantastic. They have gone above and beyond to help when I've had a problem or simply needed to call and ask a question. As someone who lives in the middle of no where, in a different state, I greatly appreciate their online subscription service which I use exclusively for all my pulls. They process and ship orders very quickly and are honestly the only reason I'm still able collect and live in the sticks. Thanks Oxford!!!
So the actual store was cool. Nice variety of comics w/ a classic display. The staff sucked though. None of them greeted me when I came in as if I was invisible, whenever a questioned was asked they appeared to seem irritated as if it's an issue for them to do their job and took issue with a customer who was just leaning on the glass reading a comic. If you weren't a middle aged white man with a beard the staff payed you no attention. Overall terrible customer service would not go back but nice selection of comics
This place is the Mack daddy of ATL comics! lots of comics and graphic novels!!!! Staff is not as excited as you will be though. Don’t expect to be greeted or helped with anything. If your looking for some Adult comic stuff this is you place.
There are few great comic stores left. This place is the bastion for comics, manga, and culture. Thank the staff for keeping this place open. They are knowledgeable and friendly as they can be. If they don't have it, they will help you find it...or at least tell you the odds of finding it.
If you love comics, anime, Manga and so much more then this place is heaven! Staff is so amazing! So kind and helpful plus great conversation. The products are so amazing and diverse. Would go on a weekly basis if I lived closer!
Old school comics & board game store. All that's left of Oxford. To me as a nerd, it's the best part though I miss the parts we've lost B&N is a poor substitute. Moderate selection of older/obscure CCGs. New release comics, figures/statues & board games.
One of my favorite shops in Atlanta Though, the action figures are not as plentiful, maybe covid and the times, the comics are and a very knowledgeable staff is always greatly appreciated
You don’t realize how big they are until you go inside. Fantastic selection of everything old and new. Largest selection and variety of comics I’ve seen in Atlanta
Awesome collection with a even better price! Found somethings that I’ve been waiting to buy and Oxford had them for the price I dreamed of! Definitely coming back regularly
