First time I had ever been here before. Took a first date here... the date actually went well, but you don't want to hear that. It's an exceptional place that's tucked away in beginnings of downtown Portland. TVs around and whole library shelf of whiskey. I'll definitely be back again.

I love to come here when I'm in the mood to try a new Whiskey (which is often) they have a fantastic selection and the staff are very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and I've never seen it overly crowded. The food is also fantastic. The Irish Poutine, Reuben, and Scotch Egg are all top notch.

My friends and I were at the downtown celebration for St Patrick's Day and 5 minutes before it ended we were told we have to leave by one of the esteemed security officers in yellow. It wasn't a suggestion it was as if we were being kicked out. The show was over 5 minutes later later but he insisted that we have to leave. He singled out one of my friends who was standing there, minding her own business and was adamant she and her friends need to leave, offering no explanation. I went back to ask him why us and not the other 100 people there and he replied, "sir it's time for you and your friends to leave just like everyone else". The show was not over before he approached us telling us we have to leave even though we paid the entry fee like everyone else. This unacceptable and I will spread the word as much as I can to make sure none of my friends or acquaintances every experience this horrible, pathetic excuse for "security" again.

Very cosy place with great food and drinks. I loved the curry sauce and my lamb stew with bread was delicious.

Not the cheapest place on the planet, but that's not what it's about: Real-world Scottish fare, with plenty of scotches to wet your whistle. If you love to taste a new scotch & you've tried less than ten, a must visit!
