We love this gem of a bagel deli! Family owned small business owners are very nice. Yummy food and great prices. I'm hooked on their breakfast sandwiches.

Their bagels, egg sandwiches and coffee are delicious!
The owners make all their bagels from scratch daily and use excellent ingredients. It is a homey atmosphere where they give customers a warm welcome and greet a good percentage by name.

The female owner of the establishment berated me in a raised voice in front of others in the shop (who looked on uncomfortably) when I asked if they had any egg bagels out back since the bins in the display cabinet were empty. "SIR, we're not a chain, so we don't have frozen bagels that we can just pull out - we bake our bagels fresh!" Right, thanks for addressing me like I'm an idiot. By the way, I wasn't implying that the establishment had frozen bagels, but perhaps that they had more bagels cooling off in the kitchen like other fresh bagel establishments do - Hot Bagels and More in South Jersey being an example (also fresh, not frozen). Thanks for jumping to that conclusion and no need to be so rude, ma'am. But really, it's par for the course - even on a good day, she is tepid at best. I don't deserve to be treated like that - nobody does. I have never been anything but polite and respectful to the shopkeepers. If you are barely tolerant of clients, perhaps you don't belong at the front of the shop. Leave that to others. By the way, their bagels are good - but the customer service is subpar. I will not return.

The best bagel I have ever had. The owners are from New York, and they are full of life and happiness. Whenever people say New York is Bagel Central, I say go to Kennett Square to this joint name Palm-a-Bagel.

Go for the authentic NY bagels. Contrary to one reviewer's contention, they do not buy them, they actually make them on site, by hand. All the equipment and ovens are right there, visibly operational in the back. Get your bagels toasted, with a schmear, to go (extremely limited seating), and get a few dozen to keep in your freezer at home. I would just skip a breakfast sandwich, though, since they don't have a grill. Just a tip-- Onion bagels are only available on the weekends, or by special request during the week. And they run out fast.
