This Panera used to have quality food, and their soups were delectable. However, mid pandemic, things began to go awry. I went in 2020 to purchase a soup, and it came in a paper cup instead of the usual ceramic, and they provided me with no baguette . It was then that I could tell the quality was beginning to slip. Regardless, the main reason for this review is my most recent visit, on the fateful night of 9/24/2022. I distinctly remember ordering a chicken noodle soup for myself, and a macaroni for my sister. Since they were out of baguettes, they would provide us with apples. When the order was ready, we were given a platter with macaroni and cheese, along with PUMPKIN soup, which I could already tell was not the right order. Additionally, no apples were to be seen! After sitting down, we looked at our plates, then each other. Then back at the food again. Squash or pumpkin soup was already not one of my favorites, but this was obviously watery, and it slid off my spoon hardly leaving a mark. The cook refused to take back my order, insisting that I did in fact ask for pumpkin. My sister's macaroni, however, was another story. The 'macaroni' was white and bound together, as if with glue. The bowl was obviously not filled all the way. The meal was cool to the touch, and looked like it had been taken out of a refrigerator after a month and reheated in a microwave for 10 seconds. She commented that it looked worse than hospital food. To top it all off, the macaroni and cheese bowl was disgusting. Food remained encrusted within the bowl; obviously cleaned insufficiently, if at all. The grime was able to be scratched off with a plastic fork, so it's safe to say some equipment is broken back there. The tables and booths were also dirty, with scraps of food and straws left on them. We will not be returning to this Panera any time soon. Pictures below:
The bagels were a little stale but that might of been the time we ordered it was around 10:30 am so after the breakfast rush. The cinnamon crunch bagel with honey walnut cream cheese was our favorite. The sandwich my husband got was not a grwat ratio of bread to fillings so he just removed the top bun and ate it as an open faced sandwich.
Been a while since my wife and i ate at Panera. My wife ordered the small mac and cheese. It was completely cold. I ordered a bowl of chicken and wild rice soup. It was good but they gave me a cup instead of the bowl. I think it will be a while before we go back.
Their marketing leads you to believe that this is a healthy restaurant and the pictures of their products make them look big, fresh and amazing. I was very disappointed after going there to have lunch today with my husband. They gave us very little food, in fact we had to go somewhere else and get a second lunch. What we got did not look like the pictures and we agreed that everything was overpriced and far from healthy.
I doordash for this location and I have to say Christian is a top performer in your establishment. He's prompt, professional, and definitely one of the nicest people I've ever came across in Panera. He's definitely a great asset to your company and when I walk in I always hear and see his joyful self. Thanks Christian for always giving 110 percent. Even to us deliver drivers :.
Food was good but restaurant not very clean. I sat next to the front window and happened to look down at the floor between the windows and the tables and it was filthy. They must only vacuum in the middle of it he floor so I kept my purse on my lap. But it makes me wonder about the areas that their guests don’t see…like the kitchen.
3 years ago I had given this location 3 stars. Today I continue with my 3 star rating. The young lady who took our order was kind but unfortunately had to keep telling us they were out of stuff: bread, baguettes, frozen lemonade, she didn't know if the creamy tomato was the same as the tomato basil, straws, bagels, they were out of some items in my mom's order as well. It was only 5:50pm and many customers came in after us so I'm not sure how their orders went. Since I was charged for the frozen lemonade that they didn't have, I asked instead of a refund if I could just get a large cup for the other lemonade and the manager gave me the large cup and a pastry which was super awesome and much appreciated. Quite a few of the benches had rips in them and the bathroom was quite disgusting. All in all the staff are great it's just the location just needs updating badly and more products during meal times. Also the website is horrible. The menu is super glitchy and not easy to navigate what so ever. Pop ups continuously happen asking if I'm ready to place my order.
I ordered hot tea myself on the self checkout system. When I try to serve myself hot tea, the hot water was out. I asked a worker girl " Do you have more hot water" The answer was " I don't know!" Not even try to help! The sandwich bread was hard to chew! Very disappointed with this place!
I go to the Panera over on 78th and Dodge sometimes. I wanted to let people know that this Panera is really fun to go to! The staff members are so kind and can answer all your questions. It is very clean there too. And, like at any Panera, the food is amazing! If you're stopping in for breakfast or lunch, or just doing a curbside pick up, THIS is your place! Affordable delicious food and a pleasent environment! Yes please!
I love Panera but their location on 74th and Dodge is always out of everything! This morning no hazelnut coffee and no Bagel that I had ordered on the app and was told would be ready. Last time I was here they were out of potato chips and greens and coffee.
