This is an authentically brazilian bakery. The staff is all brazilian and they were helpful in taking your orderz The empanada’s looked like they have been sitting there but they weren’t bad though. They have brazilian sandwiches as well. They arent great if you are on a diet. The minerinho had everything but the kitchen sink… steak, chicken, potatoes, etc. It was good but you need to see a cardiologist after. Very greasy but probably great for a hungover. The desserts were decent. I don’t know that I would come back but glad I came.
The food over here is good of course nothing compared to the bakeries of Boston. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I do wish they had a larger selection of pastries and breads but for being the only Brazilian bakery in the area it is what it is. I will definitely return after the holidays hopefully to find a larger selection.
Great experience with this Brazilian bakery. Amazing customer service, cappuccino on point. I definitely recommend this for Brazilians and tourists.
Their customer approach was fantastic only am too picky, and seeing everything there look take away for those that eat all. l can recommend them for real good stuff.Food: 3/5
Food probably would of tasted better if I didn't have to listen to the waitress gosip and wait for service. My friend from Brazil was not happy with the food. I should of gone to Popeye across the street.Food: 2/5
Went to NY and decided to head up to NJ, stopped by this place to eat some Brazilian food/snacks, which I love, but was very disappointed. That’s not what Brazilian cuisine looks or tastes like. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m from Massachusetts and there’s a lot of Brazilian bakery/restaurants, so they tend to be really competitive, which makes the food taste much better… but this place? Such a disrespect to the Brazilian culinary, not only the dishes but also the snacks, were not fresh at all, tasted like something made 2 days before. And they also made fun of my friend who’s a vegetarian, she doesn’t eat anything with meat but can eat dairy, when she asked them about options without meat, the lady just laughed and said she was only able to eat salad. Which is stupid since we clearly said “no meat”, not “no cheese”. Me and my friend both speaks Portuguese and we are very used to Brazilian places, she knows that not everything has meat. Anyways, that lady had not manners, it was really disrespectful. Food was cheap, but still not worth the money, we were starving and we didn’t even finished our meal, because it was bad. Service was ok, until that lady opened her mouth to say that about my vegetarian friend. Overall just a bad experience. Before I went there, I read this review online about them, and it said “best Brazilian bakery in the area”, and now all I can think is “if they’re the best, I don’t ever wanna go see the other ones”. I guess they can fool people that doesn’t know how real Brazilian food tastes like.
I call to get prices on something I wanted because I had it for the first time a a job party and nobody speaks English this is crazy and then placed me on a long hold yeah never again will I call or even attempt to waste my money for poor service
- Hands down my favorite Toasta Mixta. I lived in the Ironbound for 10yrs and had Toasta Mixtas all the time. Found this place recently and I go there every day before work...
I wanted to give this place no stars but this is how i was able to send my review. I went inside this store today to get a buttered bread and a coffee. I was already skeptical being a black woman walking into here but hoping my skepticism was wrong. Absolutely Not!! I stood on line and was not even asked for assistance. I said maybe they are busy but then I noticed that they were assisting people behind me in line. I said why haven't you asked me but asking people after me..their response was we are Portuguese and looked at me like you're not...WoW!! Racist much!! My money is green like everyone else's. It's so sad and unnecessary!
The only reason I gave the 2 stars was because the food was good. Other than that, the customer service sucked! The lady who served me had food in her mouth talking and handling my food. Then before I got my order taken I was in line for 10 minutes, the lady who was behind me knew one of the workers and got her order taken before me. This place needs better management. The employees need to take classes in customer service! But the food is great!
