Pappy's Pizza

Read they were having a "soft opening" so we visited on Sun. Feb 19, 2023. Never been here before so I have nothing to compare the old owner/decore to the new. Clean and fresh inside, maybe a bit to small? We ordered at the counter, and then picked a seat. The wait was average. The food was very good. The steak & cheese w/peppers & salami regular size was hot, fresh and very tasty...nice roll! We had it toasted. Also tried a regular sized pepperoni pizza. Again fresh and hot...tasted very good. FYI... it is a bit of a stretch calling this a "pan" pizza...at least according to the menu. We watched and saw other diners and foods being served. All looked just as good as ours. So why 4 stars???... Soft opening is fine but ordering food then having to get it myself in to go boxes...we sat and expected what we were told...they would bring it to us. We had to clear our own table. That is fine but the trash barrel openings were to small for all but napkins and soda bottles...no recycle bins that I could see. Lastly the gentlemen in the back "barking" orders to the young people working there was quite annoying. A bit demeaning at times and it was evident on their faces. I'm no softy...I'm 60 and understand what it takes to get young people to work these days. This guy is gonna go through alot of help acting this way towards a group of young adults that really don't want to be working anyway Good Luck...We will be back to see how it is all running and update my review...Q!

Extremely satisfied! Amazing pizza & sub - very kind staff who stayed a few minutes later for me to pick up my order. Very good prices as well, and definitely quality food. Thank you!

Popped in on my way home for some takeout and a drink at the bar during their soft opening. I ordered two pizzas, a couple burgers, and a glass of wine - upon being asked for my ID I realized I didn’t have it. The waitress was super kind and apologetic about not being able to serve me - and I understood 1000% as her decision was correct and exactly how I would expect my staff to behave if I was the owner. She even offered me a free dessert, which was above & beyond sweet. Staff was great, and the food was fantastic. The Greek pizza was absolutely loaded with veggies, and the crust was perfect. Very excited to go back! :

After my go to pizza place changed hands, I wasn’t sure if the quality would stay the same. After my visit this afternoon, I can confidently say that both the quality of the food and customer service went up. I was greeted by the new owner at the counter, and my food came out perfect. The renovated dining area is very clean. Happy to say my favorite restaurant is headed in the right direction.

I want the old Pappy's back! Went there today pizza was not the same. Music was too loud. Its nice to have staff that is friendly but calling customers "honey" "baby cakes" "sweetheart " is not appropriate. We sat down and was told no waitresses . We had to order at the counter. After ordering we sat back down . When the pizza was ready it came in boxes. We were given no plates no napkins or flatware. The young lady just needed to focus on customers instead of chatting with people. When we were leaving ...NOT even a goodbye thanks for coming. I really miss the old staff. We will not return.

I just called to or a sandwich and fries. On their menu it says 11.95. They were going to charge me 17.83. I indicated that that is not what the menu said. She checked and said that was not the price. I said if you are not going by your menu prices I did not want it. She said ok and hung up. I guess the new owners don't want to stay in business. I order out often and will let people know about this.

I love this place. I was so sad when the original closed but then drove by to see it open. I was completely shocked with the interior design it looked so modern and yet still captured the essence of the original pappy's. I talked with the new owner and he is so friendly he even offered me a drink while I waited for my order to be completed since they were only doing take out. I brought the food home and was not disappointed either. Thank you and many good lucks sent your way for a continued success.

Bummed. Pappy's is our neighborhood place and we've been excited about the reopening. Definitely 3 stars at best- one of our orders was made incorrectly, we didn't receive the 2 order of fries that we paid for but at least were given to us when we asked for them though, no ketchup on tables or given with 3 orders of fries. Tables were not cleaned. The interior was nice - 3rd star given for the crinkle fries.

I used to frequent Pappy’s a couple times a month. They had the best pizza in town. New owners took over and I was hesitant to go back. Tried it today and was very disappointed. They changed the whole pizza recipe, cheese, sauce, dough, everything. Unfortunately they changed it for the worse and I sadly will never go back to Pappy’s.
