It's such a beautiful place. Trails are well taken care of. 4 and 5-year old didn't have any trouble
The sanctuary trails were much more extensive than I expected, and after two hours I had only walked a portion of them. The Hanging Rock trail it’s an out n back with a little climbing involved, so wear sturdy shoes. Although not that high in elevating it gives clear views all around.
Amazing trails.. only issue I had here was that I had called and I paid for my pass over the phone. I try to go into the entrance to sign in or whatever, and it was locked. So basically people can just park and walk here for free apparently but I paid?
Nice hiking and great views! The hikes could be a little challenging at some parts but not too tough. Families with young kids and elderly parents were able to do it. Great escape into nature and not too crowded for a Saturday! Public restrooms and the gardens were not accessible.
Nice hiking trails with good views.
Great 1st trip - but we didnt know about the varying difficulties of the trails we'll definitely be back to check out the other trails soon!
we had a time bird watching this morning with our guide and took a nice pleasant stroll through on our own. wonderful birds and frogs at the pond especially! learned some new information about why cormorants hold their wings out! truly a great sanctuary.
