Moving to New York was dramatically improved because of the amazing help of the Equity Residential employees working at Parc Coliseum. Specially Nas and Darren whose work is impeccable. Their response to any of my cries for help has always been immediate. Very precise with their craft and never ending positive attitude. So happy to have them. Keep up with the amazing job!
I am an older, single lady, and deeply grateful for the many workers who consistently greet me with smiles every day, doors held open as needed, and, especially , immediate service for any repairs or adjustments in my apartment. Parcels are held carefully at the front desk and I am notified immediately for all deliveries, I have been continually grateful to be here !
The apartment was great and the front desk too. But the management company Equity Residential was very much struck on profits and harassing tenants. Our renewed lease was 50% over our initial agreement. They charged us extra although we gave a 45 day notice when we were leaving. They was a huge turnover in management the whole 18 months we were there. This is one of my worst experiences in NYC with real estate. These leasing agents who worked elsewhere did not care about tenants, especially being a tenant who took great care of the apartment and paid rent on time always we were treated very poorly. Deeply disappointed by Equity.
I lived here for a year and a half. The concierge staff are amazing, very friendly and receptive. The management is focused on profit and strives to navigate the legal measures imposed by the city of New York with fluidity. Following the end of the lease, Equity Residential increased our rate by 50%. Additionally, while negotiating the contract, the 60 day renewal date passed. Despite still in negotiation they charged us for going past the sixty day mark. We moved out on April 1st, following the move out they changed the keys and would not let us re-enter the apartment. Despite this, Equity Residential charged us till the middle of the April for going past the sixty day mark. The move-out process was abrasive and shallow. Additionally, there was immense staff turnover at the management level while only residing at the apartment for a year and a half, making the point of contact continually changing without any background knowledge of our situation. The apartments are nice, but the management is soulless and I would recommend looking elsewhere if feasible.
Equity and the team are great! Very responsive, kind and always here to help and fix! 5stars service indeed! Kudos to Darren, Naz, Richard and Pedro!!!!
The building has a recurring cockroach problem that they are unable to fix. Roaches have become an unwanted part of my life while living here. It's an old building without amenities and very small kitchens. After I signed the lease, the management treated me like garbage whenever I interacted with them before signing they were nice. They tried to almost double the rent for the new lease - and i told them i am moving out. So they charged me some hidden fees and i have zero hope to recover any of my security deposit. Look forward to moving out of here.
I lived in Parc for a year, at first I was very happy about it except for constantly not working elevators and dirty laundry room, including a roach inside the machine, but as I moved out, it just got ugly. They offered me a new lease with 1700$ raise now listed lower than what they offered me, then they charged me for cleaning they expect pristine cleanliness that only professional cleaner will achieve, I spent days scrubbing everything, and they charged for apt painting! There was just regular wear on the walls, some minor scratches. They said it took them over 9h to repaint, so that's why they charged me. As if they would not repaint for a new tennant anyway. The scratches were so minor, just normal for when a person lives for a year that it just makes me laugh at what they expect to see no miniscule dot of dust I guess. These greedy corporate opportunists will rip you off. Stay away from Equity Residentials. Left a bad taste in my mouth
Love this place, and the staff that make it what it is. I can always count on Oksana to help me with any question or concern I may have. Her professionalism and genuine care for people is what makes me want to live here. For example, when she talks to me, she makes me feel very comfortable. She looks at me directly in the eyes and makes me feel like I matter, when we talk or when she's assisting me with a problem. This young lady is going to high places!!!
This building has a bad roach problem - they tell you its not possible to get rid of - and wash their hands off of it. Nobody wants to play a huge rent and end up living with roaches - find another place
Living here is great! The convenience of having the train station 2 minutes away is awesome. The concierge team knows you by name and you get a welcoming greeting no matter how many times you walk through the door. The leasing team is very attentive, professional and friendly! Let’s not forget the service team efficienct, friendly and always eager to help.
