It all started with a family video chat & I was wondering what was happening to my upper eyelid. I wouldn't have noticed except for good old FaceTime helped me see myself! I talked to my eye dr. who highly recommended Dr. T. I went to visit and everything was explained how the procedure worked and recovery time. I was amazed at what a difference it made, not just in my looks but my vision! I felt like I could see again. A big thanks to Dr. T and to his staff, who are very caring and helpful! Thanks
Dr T us the best Dr in the world. I had eye surgery on October of 2021 while doing the surgery he noticed my sinus were highly inflamed and I was missing my septum. He said Diane we have to get to the bottom of this! He sent me to get a cat scan and to be tested for 5 auto immune disease. Turns out I have a disease called wegners which is fatal if not treated. I would have never known that I have it if it was not for Dr. T concern and professional knowledge and dedication to get to the bottom of it. So thankful 2 Jesus for Dr. T. I will always be eternally Grateful!!!!!! grateful T
In September 2021 Dr. T Thiagarajah performed eyelid surgery on both my eyes to correct my very droopy eyelids. At the initial consultation he warned me of the possibility of pain and discomfort. The day of the procedure I experienced a little discomfort but really of no major consequence. The outcome has been beyond my expectations. I no longer appear to be asleep, my vision, especially my peripheral vision is greatly improved. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. T and his entire staff both at the office and the surgery center.
Dr. T is great. I gave myself eyelid surgery for my 65th birthday and to celebrate losing 50 pounds. My eyes look great and I look at least 10 years younger!
My boyfriend had severe swelling in his left eye from a mountain biking accident. After an ER and ophthalmologist visit, we were referred to Dr T at Park Avenue Oculoplastic Surgeons. From the moment we arrived, the staff was knowledgeable, genuine and friendly. Dr T took his time showing us what he saw on the CT scan, and walked us through the reasons for scheduling exploratory surgery the next day. Fast forward 24 hours, and Dr T had removed 4 pieces of wood from my boyfriend's eye socket! We can't thank him enough for his professionalism, expertise and excellent care. Two thumbs up!
I had a growth on my upper eyelid for probably about 6 years. Dr. T was able to remove it safely and successfully, and give me back my eye appearance I couldn’t even remember. The only thing I would’ve appreciated more would’ve been more information about what the process was going to look like before we just jumped into it, as well as aftercare steps. It felt like they were trying to rush to see the next person. But my results definitely show the experience Dr.T has. Thank you!!
WARNING: Do Not Use Dr. Thiagarajah Dr. T. 24 months ago my sports medicine Doctor referred me to Dr. Jerry Popham for eyelid surgery upper and lower blepharoplasty. Dr. Popham's schedule was packed and his office referred me to Dr. Thiagarajah "highly recommended" by staff in Dr. Popham's office. 24 months later after 3 corrective procedures by Dr. Popham, I have a left eyelid that does not close while sleeping causing dry eye, in addition to very sever sclera show The sclera is the white part of the eye that surrounds the cornea between the lower eyelid and the cornea. The ONLY major concern I had expressed before surgery was "I don't want to look like I had an eye job!" and of course, I had exactly what I feared... it's been embarrassing for almost two years. The most maddening part of it all was meeting with Dr. Thiagarajah on my follow-up appointments after the initial surgery and pointing out the obvious botched areas, and having him look very closely, taking his time, having me look up and down, finally claiming "I just don't see it." On the surface Dr. T seems like a decent guy, but this behavior I believe was a combination of arrogance, the inability to admit an error and look for a resolution, and just plain inexperience. I would NEVER recommend him for such a delicate procedure - wait for Jerry or find another provider. I spend a good deal of time in front of the camera with my business, and I now have something that can never be corrected. Time does not heal a botched eye job, and at some point the attempted corrections can cause more harm then good. The entire procedure should have been refunded with an apology.
I've been dreading of writing this review, after 4 failed surgeries from both Dr. Thiagarajah and Dr. Popham combined. The journey started in 2016, from a simple upper and lower Blaph that turned into Eye Socket Reconstruction and to 4 upper Blaph and one lower That is over corrected. The doctors was so quick to say let's fix it, knowing the first time and 2nd time around wasn't successful. I trusted both doctors, I came to them because both were referrals and with outstanding reviews. Unfortunately, all I got was failed surgeries. 2 years wasted of my time and money. I now have an awful scar tissue from the 2nd surgery and got worse from revision surgeries after that. Sadly, am now looking for yet another surgeon to fix what they did to my eye. I can't replace time off from work that I could have been spending time with my family. The time for recovery, when I really didn't need an eye Socket Reconstruction. Such a disappointment, I'm in worse condition than I ever did. Even though the surgery was unsuccessful, the during surgery experience and treatment was great. Dr. Green who was my Anesthesiologist, he was amazing! After all, I trusted him with my life. I am allergic to all of the good stuff like, Condine, Vicodin, Morphine and Dilaudid Sucks for me! he managed to find my cocktail formula! I was taken care of by the doctor and all of the surgical staff during the surgery. While the bedside manner was great, but their back office staff, Amber is rude. No patience, short and lacks compassion. One of many incident, when I had asked for my records, she didn't even ask for my verification. She said that it's because my phone number was on the screen. She went on about my records. Talk about breaking HIPPAA Privacy. However, the front desk and patient coordinator staffs are super nice. Both phone and upfront service was great. Very welcoming. My only advise, do your research and see as many surgeons as you possibly can. I wish I did!
I had lower blepharoplasty done with Dr. T. I work in health care and was very picky about which provider I would have do my surgery. I have to say the experience with PAOS, Dr. Thiagarajah, and Dr. Green is the best. I have met many surgeons and Dr. T is highly skilled, approachable, and kind. I could have not found a better surgeon to complete my procedure. He took the time to connect with me at a more personal level, was confident but not cocky, and obviously had the surgical acumen to back it up. Dr. Green the anesthesiologist called the night before to go over any questions I had which was a nice touch. Every detail was thought of related to the procedure. I was given blankets fresh from the blanket warmer, the nurses were thorough in getting me prepped, the nurse checked multiple spots for the best place to find a vein, and I got the choice of pretzels or graham crackers when I woke up. Everybody gave me an opportunity to feel cared for. The procedure was completed very quickly, and I had zero post operative pain. My significant other is a surgeon as well and he even said I picked the best surgeon for my procedure. I can not recommend PAOS and Dr. Thiagarajah enough, you will be in the best hands.
I had a great experience with Dr. T and his team. Very friendly staff - would highly recommend.
