Parkville Presbyterian Church is a family of believers, a group of dedicated missionaries, a population of diverse, ordinary individuals that are seeking extraordinary lives in and through Jesus Christ.

Story

Each of us strive to worship Christ with every aspect of our lives as we laugh and eat with friends, as we serve and help each other and our city, as we engage our culture, community and Savior.

Worship Services each Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. ~ Church school for all ages at 9:40 am ~ Nursery for children under 5 years

Mission

MISSION GROUPS:

COMMUNITY LIFE: The purpose of the Community Life Ministry Group is to help the congregation grow in their love of God, nurturing all through fellowship and fostering relationships among all generations of our church family.

Some of the responsibilities of this group include oversight of all ministries of fellowship and relationship building (including greeting and meal times, prayer and encouragement and groups for people with similar interests) as well as promoting participation by all members of our church family.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION: The purpose of the Spiritual Formation Ministry Group is to glorify God by equipping the congregation to grow as followers of Jesus Christ through education, personal spiritual development and discernment and cultivation of spiritual gifts.

The group has responsibility for all aspects of growth and education of adults. Some of the services they oversee include Sunday morning classes, midweek Bible studies, the church library, spiritual tools like devotionals, the development of small groups and the annual church retreat.

CHILDREN/YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS: The purpose of the Children/Youth/Young Adults Ministry Group is to nurture the lives of children, youth and young adults through teaching and encouraging relationships with all generations, creating and enduring identity as children of God.

The group includes oversight of all ministries geared toward children and youth (including nursery, ministry to young children, Sunday School, youth groups and Vacation Bible School) as well as our ministry with college-age adults, including international students at Park University and our own college students attending schools elsewhere.

STEWARDSHIP AND FINANCE: The purpose of the Stewardship and Finance Ministry Group is to take the lead in coordinating our planning for the future, discerning God's mission in this place and proposing steps for implementing it though effective management and development of our finances, staffing, programs and functions.

Responsibilities include leading the congregation in assessing needs and developing long-range plans, managing both the operating and the building budgets monthly and annually, and working year-round to promote healthy stewardship of individual and congregational resources.
