Wow, this food was incredible. Highly recommend for Syrian food. I didn’t think one could make rice taste so good. The chicken was fall off the bone and the eggplant dip sorry I’m white was amazing. Definitely be back!
We had brunch at pattternz the middle eastern way, hummus, falafel, fateh, and many other things. The food was amazing, but what really deserves to be talked about is the level of hospitality of the owner and his wife who is also a chef at this restaurant, is just amazing. Made me feel like at home. Keep up the great food, I know I will be going back several times to try everything else on the menu, such as Mansaf, maglobeh, Ozzie,,, and many more.
Been trying to get here for a while but I’m so happy we finally made it. A small restaurant ran by husband and wife team that gives you some authentic home cooking from Syria. We tried dishes like the shish barak dough balls in warm yoghurt oozi rice in a filo dough ball and many others. I certainly recommend you try , the flavors are unique and not the same as Lebanese cuisines common in the area. You will truly enjoy this place. Easy five star.
We’ve been meaning to try this mom-and-pop Middle Eastern restaurant for some time now. It’s run by a couple and sits in the suburbs of Detroit Troy. They whip up some very delicious and fresh-tasting Syrian food! If you want authentic Damas cuisine with a homemade touch, look no further. The dishes all use simple, aromatic herbs and spices that really let the individual components shine. The Lamb Kabsah was a great combination of flavored rice, juicy lamb, and fried nuts. The Freekeh had a unique blend of spices in the rice and was topped with grilled chicken and nuts. The Beef & Cheese Beraks are absolutely addictive and a great salty, crunchy snack we’ll definitely go back for again. The beef has a great zesty flavor and the cheese has a nice little stretchy texture. This Oozi was a filo dough ball stuffed with white rice and peas. The shell is crispy and crunchy, but we felt the filling could use a little more flavor or might’ve been a bit dry. We also tried the delicious Mint Lemonade that was sweet, tart, and thirst-quenching. Definitely recommend checking out Pattternz the next time you’re around and we’re excited to try out their other items!
If this restaurant is not the BEST Mediterranean food in Detroit I dont know where else would be! The food is great .. the portions are perfect .. the taste is amazing Recommended dishesMansaf, Kubba
The most authentic Syrian food around! Our party of 10 were floored by every dish. Excellent, quick service and the most savory, melt-in-your-mouth meats and traditional dishes that tasted homemade and clearly made with love. Their hospitality and care made us feel right at home! Don’t miss out on this gem. Kid-friendliness: High chairs available Parking: Plaza parking
The juices here are out of this world, and everything else on the menu is delicious and freshly prepared.
I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone Arabs or others. I wished to eat authentic Syrian food, and I was excited to eat at this restaurant, but I was greatly disappointed. The meals are tooo expensive, and the food is the one of the worst I ate in Michigan. It's nothing like Syrian food!
Excellent authentic Syrian food. The restaurant is spotless, I ordered the chicken with salad. The marinated chicken cubes breast meat were cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. The salad looked like all of the veggies were just cut. Looking forward to trying other dishes. UPDATE: They now have a lunch menu. Salad, hummus, rice and choice of beef/chicken shwarma, kafta and beef kabobs. Excellent value for $9.95
I usually never do rates in google, but this place deserves it!! Super clean, nice environment and best Middle East food I’ve tried here in Michigan. The owner took time to explain the menu and give me some awesome advices on my order! Thanks for the food, we’ll be back for sure
