This is the worst payroll company I’ve ever worked with. Mistakes are a regular occurrence and they don’t really seem to care. I’ve been asking them to correct a mistake on a 1099 they issued for 5 months now. I’ve been either told the request was sent to another department or I’ve been ignored completely. They overcharge to cause aggravation and cost you time and money. I’d stay away from this company.
Absolutely hands down the worst service I've ever had in 17 years of being a small business owner. They have screwed up almost every payroll in the last 10 months
Had them for years now. Always answered immediately and very helpful. Obviously something has changed. I can't get ahold of my specialist, he hasn't called back for months. I keep leaving him messages. I finally got through to the online chat today after an hour or more wait and I was immediately kicked off. - It's cost me more in losses with Paychex that it's worth. I would definitely consider an alternative.
We have been with Paychex for several years. We have had the same rep Robin, for quite some time-and she knows her job and does it well. I appreciate the efficiency and ability of the staff at Paychex. It frees up my time to focus on other business at hand.
If I could leave a 0 star review for this company I would! Its an awful company, worst service ever, and it’s not the first time this has happened. They did not pay my employees and will not be able to pay them until Monday because they don’t operate on weekends. This is unacceptable and definitely not fair for the people waiting for their payroll. Definitely going to look elsewhere for some other company to do the work they can’t do.
If I could give it no stars I would. I have spent 30 minutes on hold because I have to change my phone number. It will not allow me to log in unless I have that number and on the phone customer service line there is no option for help when it comes to this issue. I am forced to wait by the live chat which has connected me to literally no one in 40 minutes. I am forced to try to call under a different issue in hopes of getting help but even that is asking too much because no one is available. Even though I have my email, password and username I am not able to log in unless I have that phone.
Nobody did what they said they were going to do. When I asked for a report they sent me another companies full financial disclosures. Horrible customer service. Always waiting great lengths of time to speak with anyone. Call back rate is horrible. I've asked three times to get a loss run report and all three times they messed up the email. Would not recommend at all.
I have worked with Russ in a few roles and never met anyone more passionate about helping their clients and building long lasting relationships. Russ is knowledgeable and very resourceful in the HR and Payroll community.

I recently enrolled with Paychexs and I couldn’t be more impressed with the professionalism of Alex Bortz. He helped me step by step with not only payroll but also with H.R. and the workers comp department. Even when I didn’t make it easy on him he was very patient and consistently following up with me to accommodate all my financial needs. I applaud this young man who is all about customer care.
