We had contemplated a significant kitchen and first floor remodel to our Eagle County, CO home for many years. A large pantry closet and fireplace were the stumbling blocks in our old first floor plan. They were blocking beautiful mountain views to the south out the back of the house. While we didn’t know how reconfigure the space we did know of PB Kitchen Design’s great reputation so we enlisted their help. Dave and Dan listened carefully to our needs requirements, budget and ideas. After thoughtful discussion we decided with their support that the fireplace and pantry had to go. We drew up the plans and the work commenced. We could not be happier with the result. The kitchen has great views, is more family friendly and more efficient than the old kitchen. We finally have the Colorado mountain kitchen of our dreams. PB Kitchen Design was great throughout the process. So patient and helpful. We would hire them again in a minute! DT - Eagle, CO

Past Basket has designed three kitchens for me. All three were amazing. The help with placement of cabinets and variety of materials has made our kitchens unique and functional. Dan was sensitive to our varying esthetics and made a new kitchen look as if were there initially. Actually, one of the kitchens was designed for a new house; the other two for a 1950's mid-century home and a 1978 contemporary. The two homes that we sold were sold quickly, primarily because of the kitchens. The 1978 home where we live now centers around the kitchen. No guest has ever seen it without commenting on how beautiful it is. (And that kitchen was installed 10 years ago!) I cannot recommend Past Basket strongly enough. I have had only the very best results using their services.

The team at PB Kitchen Design are true professionals. Both Dave and Dan are very thoughtful, and comprehensive, in the design process. They understand all the small things and workflows that should be considered as best practice during a kitchen remodel. There is not an item that they brought up that we have not benefited from. With such a large investment required, one always wonders will there be value commensurate with that investment. We can attest to this being the case with PB Kitchen Design. 1. Scoping and Design Phase: Dave and Dan listened to our requirements and design elements that were important to us, even if some would have thought they were odd... Such as the use of Corten steel somewhere in the design... They checked that box, while making sure the aesthetic was not overpowering and provided several options. "The work triangle" works perfectly based on our space available. 2. Budgeting and Investment: The PB team knew our all in budget, and worked to accommodate. They provided options in various areas where we could save based on scaling back some design elements. In the end we ended up going over budget (does anyone not?) but it was based on us not wanting to compromise since we will only be renovating one kitchen in our lifetime! The elements over budget made sense and were clearly understood. 3. Contractor Recommendation: The PB team has an arsenal of resources to recommend, and provided one resource that would work best with our unique home (mid century modern) with all trades knowledge to perform the ultimate work required. Steve Dority is a perfectionist and filled this role well. We were hoping to be complete by July 4th, and ended up being done by Thanksgiving, but this was due to a desire for a polished concrete floor that Steve discovered was not possible due to structural engineering constraints that moved us to a wood floor which ultimately caused our original timeline to push. The resulting floor is gorgeous by the way. 4. End Result: We received a kitchen remodel with no design surprises and a very satisfying end result.
