Screen door is a piece of junk. I can't get their customer service dept to answer my email. I called and left a message at the corporate office, so I'll see if I get a call back. I'm not holding my breath. The screen door has been garbage since the first day we purchased it. In addition, the installer did a shoddy job on installing our very EXPENSIVE sliding door. Now, again the "weather" strip is a ripped up mess. I don't even know what to do about this or how this even happens. The screen door wasn't used one time during the winter. I do know that I'm very sorry that I didn't do my homework. I have told so many people about this horrible experience, and to go with a reputable company, because Pella is definitely not reputable. The cost of the door was ridiculous, and now AGAIN I have to deal with a piece of garbage screen door and worry about bugs and flying insects getting into my home.

Ordered my Pella ThermaStar windows through my local Lowes. On time delivery, self installed, perfect fit, quality product, replacing my 36 year old windows. Thanks so much.

Here's the e-mail I just sent last evening to our Pella sales rep just last evening and thought I would share it with those reading the reviews:
Hey Meghan,
We bought an entry and storm door from you back in 2011 (~$5K). We really liked you, but your product sucks to be candid. Our most recent issue is that we can't get out our front door due to an issue with the storm door handle being broken. This is by no means the first incident -- nothing but issues.
The worst is that there are different numbers for support for storm and entry doors. When I contacted the storm door support, I told the support person that I was disappointed in Pella and the support person said, "We are not Pella -- we are the storm doors." Plus, I had to CONVINCE the support person that we even had a Pella storm door. I wish I would have saved the online support chat conversation. Priceless.
Anyway, again, we really liked you as a person, but this has by far been our worst purchase ever. I hope this e-mail bounces and that you have moved on to another company that has quality products. We will never recommend Pella and I have steered people away from Pella -- just thought you'd like to know.
Thanks!

We are waiting for a response from Pella Corporation Management regarding two of the 11 Impervia (Fiberglass) Case Mount Windows. We purchased and had Pella Corporation install these windows on 04/07/2015 for $28,000. The window frames have gaps in the corners where water can penetrate the frame. We have recently learned the windows were equipped with a water weeping system. This comment was retracted, we were then advised these windows have a water management system. We have contacted Pella Corporation Customer service with no resolve.
Pella Corp advised the gaps in the frames & other defects are just an aesthetic issue, & meet their standards & tolerances. Pella Corp Management is in denial regarding their Murray, Kentucky manufacturing facility quality control issues & dysfunctional operations of our local Pella Distributor.
During one of many visits by our local Pella Distributor two installation technicians replaced the wood spacer with a composite material spacer below one of our windows. When the wood spacer was removed the lower portion of the window frame corners flopped down and was only supported at the center of the window. No injected material or a bonded corner lock observed in window frame corners.
The window screens have been removed, the sharp corners have damaged the molding.
My mistake for purchasing these Impervia Pella Windows was based on a purchase 20 years ago, that was a big mistake.
We have finally resumed our window/door replacement project with Marvin products, December 2017.
Pella Corporate Management you would be impressed with our Marvin Windows.

After seeing so many negative reviews, that explain in great detail their experience, we've decided it best to not use Pella products. Interestingly, there are numerous 5 star ratings at the 3 and 4 month mark, yet no review was given...looks a bit suspicious.
UPDATE:
Just got off the phone with Pella customer service. They no longer offer a lifetime warranty on their seals. We just moved out of a house where 7 Jeld-Wen windows had broken seals and they replaced every window themselves, didn't charge us a penny!! Guess what windows are going in our house now!
