A store that has a great variety and a great selection, not only of US made pocket knives, but also an amazing selection of writing instruments, as well as shaving products! They also carry a variety of precharged pneumatic Airguns and all the accessories you can imagine! This is a Great store and now they're at their new location! I was very pleased with the personal attention of Mr. Anthony the owner who goes the extra mile to take care of all his customer's needs!
Massive knife and pen collection with a lot of fun bonuses in between. I bought my first high-quality roller ball, along with a wood knife I can put together with my kids to teach them how to use a pocket knife and self defense. Amazing selection and Anthony knows his business and is very helpful and patient. I'll be back for sure. Super cool store.
10 stars if I could! Absolutely one of the coolest stores in north Scottsdale. They have an exceptional line up of knives that are extremely hard to find. I didn’t even have a chance to look thru the pens and other items as I was so enthralled with the selection of microtech knives it was so hard to take my eyes off them! The spyderco kitchen knives were also something I’d never seen that I should have picked up! You must stop in here if not to buy just to check it out!
One of the finest selections of knives, pens, and every day carry essentials! I feel as if it would be an understatement to say amazing customer service as I was treated less like a customer and more as a fellow enthusiast! The time that was taken to assist me with all of my questions and the knowledge that was shared is very much so appreciated. I am thrilled to have found such great people and look forward to many future visits!
I would never buy a quality knife anywhere else. The owner and staff are great people
Great pen collection! One of the best I have seen in a really long time. Those working the desk were very knowledgeable of what they were selling. This will be a regular stop for me when I'm in the valley.
If you like knives you're going to be thrilled with this place. They have a good selection of just about every knife you would want. Very friendly and courteous. Fair prices. Wish I would have gone here long ago. It's an hour drive for me , but I'll definitely go back for my sharp instrument needs.
Fine selection of quality knifes at great prices. I was in there for quite some time looking around, just so much to see. Owner is very polite and knowledgeable, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Fantastic store. I had no idea this shop was here until Scottsdale Pen closed. When I found it on Google, I knew I had to go. Staff was great. I was treated like I was buying Mont Blanc when I was actually buying a bottle of cheap ink and a cheap pen. The kit pens one of the staff makes are beautiful. I would have picked one up if I hadn’t blown my budget for the month on other pen stuff I had been eyeing for a while. Great selection of knives as well. I have never been in a store with such a vast collection. I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future and letting everyone who will listen know how great this store is. Definitely worth stopping by.
A few weeks ago, my ceramic shaving mug cracked. I took the opportunity to order a nice, Turkish copper one, online. While waiting for it to arrive, I also decided to have an old shaving brush which originally came with the mug restored. It's a nice ceramic handle that just needed new bristles. I remembered Anthony, the owner of Penchetta, makes shaving brushes. The brush I was currently using came from Penchetta, and was made by Anthony. Its a simple, acrylic handled brush, fitted with badger hair. It's an excellent shaving brush, and I love it. I emailed Anthony to see if he'd be willing to restore my other brush. His response was, as long as I removed the old brush knot, he'd be happy to set a new one in the handle for $10.00 plus shipping. Thought nothing of it at the time, but I should have. One of the things my father taught me was crafting things by hand, and the appreciation of such. Upon arrival at Penchetta, Anthony asked me, "What were you thinkin', silvertip?" My response was, "Yeah, I think so." Once he sized the handle properly, he said it was going to cost me $38.00 and he'd have it in a few days. I said, "Ok." Now, to a lot of you, that price jump may seem a bit much. Admittedly, I experienced about 10 seconds of "sticker shock", but then I gave it a few additional seconds of thought. The initial estimate he gave me, was most likely for a lesser grade of brush; probably made with synthetic bristles. Silvertip, is not only natural badger hair, but it's also only 2 notches below top grade badger hair. Still considered premium. So, the price is right where it should be. Lastly, I remembered the craftsmanship thing. I'm not only paying for the brush, but I'm also paying for his care and craftsmanship in restoring my brush. Even if all he's doing, is setting a new brush knot. Considering these things, I said nothing further. Very much looking forward to my restored shaving brush. The beauty of the situation is this: While silvertip is considered premium, he didn't try to sell me the very top of the line badger hair. However, he didn't sell me low grade synthetic, either. A few days later, Anthony most certainly didn't disappoint. My shaving brush is beautiful, and I happily paid him. Timing was perfect, as I arrived home to find my bowl had arrived in the mail. Today, I used them both for the first time. The brush, in combination with the hammered texture inside the bowl made a very fine lather that spread beautifully on the face. Thank you, very, very much, Anthony. I'm a very happy customer. If any of you are remotely familiar with Penchetta, then you know he sells very fine blades of all types, and equally fine writing instruments. Now, you also know, that he MAKES his own shaving brushes. If you need anything of that nature, head over there and talk to Anthony. He's very friendly, knowledgeable, and he's a very fine craftsman who'll sell you quality without draining your pocket.
