Beautiful building. I didn't get to go inside. Next visit I will. Definitely worth seeing if going downtown. Amazing architecture.
Beautiful Building. Amazing architecture. So much history and stories I have been told about inside the building on different floors and the well known stars who have frequented it over the years. The office spaces are very nice, spacious, has an amazing energy being inside the 3rd tallest building Downtown Detroit. If anyone is looking to rent out an office space downtown, I would definetly recommend the Penobscot Building.
Not much to report it's still a nice building for it to be so dated the security guard was really helpful and nice and I took care of the business I had to take care of and was out of there in no time
Over all, I had a good experience here. You will be here for a while, 2 to 3 hours, but that's because they're short staffed for such a large building. Everything you need in here while you wait and the employee's are kind.
Interesting interior details but the experience was ruined by an rude security guard.
Like time stood still..This building has been preserved and is probably as pretty today as it was in its inception..The front Desk Guard is Awesome too!! He referred me to a Stephen A Thomas a Family Law Attorney who practices in this Building.
Thank God it was there and I was able to do the things that I needed to do a lot has changed since the last time there but I was able to move around smoothly and everything that needed to b done was done and it didn't take all day
One of the most historically recognized buildings in downtown #Detroit. Full of offices that have housed many well known local law firms, city government offices, small bodega, locally owned clothing stores, restaurants, bars, fine dining eateries, a pingpong themed bar, and lastly, one of the last known "shoeshineing" places in the country.
I run my business, 'Melody Piano Detroit' out of the #Penobscot Building. Everyone is very kind and professional. The security is great and personable as well!
The Penobscot Building could be gorgeous. I worked on the 43rd floor from 2014- March 2021. My office overlooked Comerica Park. Every office in our suite had breathtaking views. The sunset photo below is taken from the in-suite bathroom. The security and building staff were friendly and professional. My low review has nothing to do with them. The building’s staff do the best they can with the resources available to them. The Penobscot has two elevator shafts, so you need to transfer elevators to get to floors 34-44. I got stuck in the elevators several times once for over an hour. On multiple occasions I was required to take walk 10+ floors to my office when the tower elevator was inoperable. During my last months there my suite had no running water. This meant I had to hopefully take two elevators to the 13th floor to use the restroom. It’s a shame that this building has fallen into disrepair.
