wonderful experience here! very helpful and friendly staff! beautifully set up showroom, very easy to see all the different options for tile and slabs. all of my questions were answered with care and patience and in the end I got to go home with FREE samples!!! Overall a great experience and would definitely visit again.
Was doing a countertop for my mothers house. The staff was very knowledgeable about the type of stone they had. Helped me make my selection as my mom and friends like to enjoy wine on occasion. Definitely recommend this place!
A warm and friendly staff with a great selection of wholesale products! While they don't sell to the public, they will let you view full slabs of quartz and natural stone- and take home samples as needed.
Our builder recommended Pental and we couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received as well as the product we ended up purchasing quartz for kitchen counter tops. I was concerned after reading previous reviews written here, however our experience was enjoyable and due to the attention we received, stress free. We changed our minds several times during our 2 hours selection process our doing not theirs, however the support and service we were provided never wavered from friendly. All the staff, including the lift driver, were very product knowledgeable and answered our bombardment of questions with ease and sincere interest in helping with our selection. The selection was impressive and of good quality one of the reasons it took us so long to decide. I rarely write reviews, however I felt Pental and potential customers needed a better view of their product and service.
Nice store but no one acknowledged me at the main desk or at the pickup window when I approached. 2 stars because the guy in the warehouse did. Considering the amount of tile companies in close proximity, I expected better service.
I am reviewing Boston Tile as well as Pental Surfaces response to problems with this tile. Boston tile is beautiful, but there is an absolute problem with this tile after it is installed. Tiles literally fell off the wall after a few weeks on install. They had not been grouted and our tile setter said that if they had been; we would never have know until the grout started to crack. We contacted Pental and the manager came out to investigate. His attitude was condescending as he accused our tile installer as having dried mud, etc. There was no investigation of Pental's Boston tile. I am the home owner of a new build which had three bathrooms showers done, kitchen back splash, all floors in all bathrooms and laundry room done by this tile setter with different manufactured tiles. The results were stellar accept for the Boston tile that will not adhere to the wall. There is a powdery coating on the back that easily releases from the mud. My tile setter volunteered to eat the cost of the time he put in to install the tile and to grind down those tiles in hopes that they would adhere to the wall. That is integrity, as opposed to Pental's manager who could not be bothered to investigate the problems with this tile. Every single one of Boston tile popped off the wall easily without breakage while the trim pieces he installed from a different manufacturer are intact: so it is obviously not his fault or the fault of the mud he used. In the end I used a different manufactured tile which is holding up quite well as are all the different tiles that are not Penal tiles. I will never use any of their products again as they take no responsibility for the quality of their tiles. My warning to anyone who wants to purchase this tile or has already installed it----grout is the only thing holding it to the wall and when it cracks water will get behind it and you will have mold! Do not rely on Pental Tile to take responsibility for the products they sell. I am really disappointed in their response and how they back up the products they sell.
A lady at kholer referred me here. Service at kholer was not exactly warm or friendly but Service here is sort of hostile from a women in blonde ponytail. She seems to really hate her job and the customers who walk in. Fortunately, there are so many more friendlier places in Portland to shop perhaps with better pricing. I read reviews first before making the trip here. I really wish there was more warning before wasting my time driving here in the rain, don’t waste your time!
Everybody who works here were nice and friendly in my interactions with them. The guys in the warehouse this late morning 4/5/19 were exceptionally helpful and conscientious.
Very nice selection of granite, quartz, tiles, and more.
This is maybe the best place in Portland for viewing PentalQuartz slabs.
