Showed up for a job and they said they didn't need me, left got called back there because I knew they would be charged for 4 hours anyhow. They had me Mop and do filing. When the boss left me in her office alone to do a job interview I didn't feel comfortable in her office with her personal belongings purse I left her a note thanking her and that I wz a safety girl. I got paid for 3 hours and people ready pushed my hours thru so I couldn't dispute it. That was my time I took driving to and from TWICE!!
I've worked with them since a long time ago. Between jobs and crisis, they showed me a good face. I've met many different people and they were friendly. Only problem is that; if you work for a company through them and you want to get hired on, most companies won't hire you because new People Ready's policy states that the company has to: either, buy your contract or pay People Ready a month's worth of wages even if they have to pay your own wages. Most companies won't do that. You see where this is going!? The longer you work with them, the less possibility of finding a decent job
Test cannot be passed regardless of answers, they just judge you based on appearance and pass the test based on bias and discretion. I do not use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, and have plenty of work experience but did not pass their test despite an ACT score in the top quarter of the nation and an ASVAB percentile of 99%. This is a horrid and dishonest temp agency, avoid at all costs.
Can help in a pinch but, my experiences with this company keep getting worse. This is the second time they have restrained me from working. Not only that but they managed to do so right after i got on the job site, and plenty worse than that is im 1 1/2 hours from my house and the next bus doesnt come until 5pm...I got here at 8. Cheers folks
Not the best Labor Ready I've ever been to Hayward, CA is king, but it is still a good place to find work. Work is much easier to find when you have a vehicle.
These people let employers treat their employees like garbage. If you have a car they will use you to give other employee rides with no compensation for gadoline.
