They'll have all these jobs posted online, you'll fill an application and they'll send an email saying if no one reaches out just go to the local branch listed in the email and let them know. I arrive and they said they only had 1 job, and it wasn't remotely near what I had APPLIED for, so why make people apply for a job only to then not reach and offer a job that isn't even remotely close to what they applied for. Typical for a shady staffing agency.
Much thanks to employees Brook and Maria for helping me out all the time and understanding my situation. This is considered the Ontario/Upland branch.
The employees at the upland branch are amazing.... they work hard to find jobs that fit our skills, they even called me twice with new opportunities.. Samantha and her co-worker, thank you very much !!!!!!

The girl Stephanie that works at this branch is rude and unprofessional. I accepted a job on the Job Stack app sometime before noon, which started after 10pm that same day. As usual, I expected People Ready to call me within minutes, to confirm I'd be at the job. I didn't get a phone call until a few hours later, and by that time, I was busy and had missed their calls. Prior to the missed calls, I had already confirmed that I'd be at the job through the app that they provide us. I received a call at 12:20pm and another call at 1:07pm. Sixteen minutes after I had received the second phone call, I realized that I was removed from the job. I called back immediately and asked why I was removed from the job. I was told by Stephanie that it was because she tried to get a hold of me and couldn't, meanwhile she failed to leave me a voice mail. I told Stephanie that I was busy and I had already confirmed that I would be at the job through the app. Stephanie then tells me how they still have to call people to confirm they will be at a job. I said that I find it very illogical that you would remove me from a job within an hour, just because I missed your two phone calls, when the job doesn't even start until 10pm at night. Stephanie responds with, well unfortunately your illogical thinking doesn't agree with our business model. I stayed quite on the phone for a bit, because I was speechless that she would say something like that. She then proceeded to say something in addition to that, but I hung up the phone. I don't know what this girl’s problem is. But it doesn't seem reasonable for employees to get taken off of jobs because you couldn’t get a hold of them for a job that starts 10hrs from the time you call them. Our lives do not revolve around People Ready. This job started 10hrs from when Stephanie initially called me and the branch wouldn’t have closed for another 6 hours. Which basically means that Stephanie had more than enough time to contact me to confirm I’d be there. I understand that a lot of the jobs provided by this company usually need to be fu-filled in a timely manner, and it is important to make sure we show up, but I wasn’t even given at least a full hour before this happened; and once again, the job didn’t start for another 10hrs. I have never called off, walked off, or been a no show to any jobs. The only time I’ve ever called off of a job, was because the job description changed, after I accepted the job. And that was last year. What good is accepting a job on the app, confirming you’ll be at a job on the app, and confirming you’re on the way to a job on the app, only for them to keep calling you for the same thing? I hardly work jobs through this company, and when I do, it’s mostly through the app. I try to refrain from talking to any of People Ready’s employees on the phone as much as possible, because it seems like the women I say women because I’ve never talked to a male employee who work for their company are always rude, impatient and trying to rush you off the phone. I could say so much more about the favoritism & politics that go on with this company, but I think the feedback about this company speaks for itself. I accept a job, I do the job & go home. I don’t need anyone breathing down my back every time I accept a job, trying to make sure I’ll be there and what not. My track record speaks for itself. I’ve even had several job offers by People Ready’s clients and I’ve turned them all down because my availability sucks at the moment due to having my son 3-4 days out of the week. I usually don’t complain about much when it comes to this company because I do what I have to do and go home. But when you start removing me from jobs, you’re not only taking money out of my pockets, but you’re also taking food out of my son’s mouth.
Only issue I have is that they're slow to pay you everyday. Always an excuse as to why they haven't gotten you paid out. That's with all the branches. I have used them for years but as of late they've been slacking. Lot of others feel the same way. May be time to move to another agency. A shame though. I really liked working for them.
