Working with Perry Subaru was an excellent experience from start to finish. We originally visited to see the differences between Limited and Premium Crosstreks, not even planning on purchasing a car that day. The staff was extremely insightful and diligent in providing us accurate and complete information. Barry, who we worked with, followed up a few weeks later and had the perfect car for us arriving at the dealership. From going over the features to filing the paperwork, Perry Subaru had us in and out in a matter of a couple of hours and we felt prepared and excited for our new Subaru. I would strongly recommend business with Perry Subaru and would have no problem using their services again. Excellent staff, attention to details, and world-class service.
I took my 2003 Subaru Legacy there because it had a problem with the brakes. I told them what the problem was and where it was over the phone. They said they had to run a diagnostic to verify which I understand. They did not have any loaners for me to use in the interim. They called me back the next day to tell me that they found out two things. My car had a recall on an airbag and they replaced it. The second thing they told me was that I was right about what was wrong and my car required over $7,000 of work to get it street safe again. They charged me the $100.00 diagnostic fee despite the fact that I had already told them exactly what the problem was. They waited to tell me my car was essentially a lost cause, after they told me they replaced the air bag. I paid, and arranged with my insurance to have my car towed back to my house to decide what to do with it there. My car didn't arrive the day it was supposed to because the tow company canceled the pickup because of a sick driver. When I checked with my insurance about why my vehicle wasn't home, they contacted the dealership multiple times asking whether my vehicle was there. The dealership said it wasn't and that they never had paperwork that it was even there. It took 6 DAYS for the dealership to work with my insurance to find it. They spent time looking over the security footage to attempt to find it and finally found it when they bothered to walk around and look. I have worked with two Subaru dealerships before this. They always have had loaners, they have trusted me when I said what was wrong, and when they didn't, they reimbursed me for the diagnostic if I was correct. I cannot express just how poorly I think of Perry Subaru. When they finally found my car, on a Monday, instead of immediately contacting me and arranging for me to get it that day, the service manager decided he wanted to be there to make sure it was taken care of. Of course he wouldn't bother coming in that same day so I could have my car. I had to wait for him to be in the office to get my car. He wouldn't let anyone else release it. I honestly hope that their service is better for everyone else, because in my eyes it could not be worse.
Bought my first STi here two years ago and I've also been doing my periodic maintenance here from then on. It been a great experience so far. Cliff and Barry in Sales, Jordan in Service and Randy in Parts department are the people who I work with and everyone of them are awesome. Thanks guys! They have great amount of knowledge in their respective area and provide exceptional customer service. It really feels like an extended family every time I go there and I will definitely recommend Perry Subaru.
My experience here was beyond expectations, and it all started with Cal Green approaching our vehicle before I even had it in 'park'. From the moment we met Cal was patient, listened to our needs, and provided excellent feedback and input without being pushy. We never felt rushed, and Cal worked with us over three days to find us the car we now own and love. Three days late we brought both our vehicles one is a Chevy back to the dealership for service exterior treatment and state inspection, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The other salespersons even helped keep our 18 month old entertained. Yes the waiting room is small, but they offer loaners and there are places to go nearby. If you are planning on buying a Subaru, my experience would have me buying another one from Perry.
They do a great job! Was a little disappointed to find out when I arrived that the shuttle doesn't start until 8 and it arrived late so I was late to work. He did hustle the best he could but I was 20 minutes late to work. The shuttle also stopped at 3 so I had to find another way to pick up my car. The service is good but I'm sure it's a bit pricier since it's the dealership.
I had originally gave them 5 stars for excellent customer service but after 2 more visits I see I was mistaken. The nice customer service was just an act to get the money. I brought my work vehicle there 3 times. The last time was for overheating and the mechanic spent 2 1/2 hours doing nothing!!! All he did was replace a radiator cap and the car is still overheating!!! When I got back in my work vehicle I could tell he was tampering with stuff which is very unprofessional!!! Now at the suffolk Subaru hoping they have a real mechanic here to fix the problem!!!
I just want to leave a review to say thank you. Most people are reluctant to take their cars to the dealership for maintence. I personally could not imagine taking my car anywhere else. Jordan and team are absolutely fantastic at what they do and how they treat their customers. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to taking care of me.
Dropped off my car at 1145 and was told they'd have it ready at 330 the latest. Around four I called to check on my car and was told it hadn't even been looked at yet. Then asked if I could find my own way back to their shop. They hadn't even read the fault which is all I wanted done. If I hadn't called to check there is no telling how long I'd have waited for a call telling me they weren't going to look at it. Highly dissatisfied. Go to any toyota dealership in the area if you want quality service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for service. If they did the maintenance on it that they say they did it took them ten minutes. So if they had actually worked on it I would have had my car back by 1215.
Went to this dealership looking to buy a used Subaru was not treated like a serious customer. When asked about if the dealer could fix scratches they replied with “it’s a used car” which it was but only a year old with less than 15000 miles on it. Was treated like a joke Bad dealership experience. We took our business elsewhere and got a way better experience and fair price.
My husband and I bought our first car here and loved the service so much. Everyone was so kind so we decided we would always bring our car here for service. The about six months later we returned because my husband needed a new car and the final sales man who we signed all the paper work through was awful, and he was the same man we had gone through previously. He was very rude, and we finance through out credit union back home and the first time there was no issue and the second time he was making a big deal about it being extremely rude. We will definetly not be going back to purchase any more cars! We were also dedicated to giving them our service in their auto service but today we have finally had enough. Every time we go there the wait is unbelievabley long even when we have an appointment. We were driving an our out of our way to go here but from now on we will just use the Subaru dealership by our house.
