Personalized Business Service

I've been getting my taxes done by Personalized for years, from Betsy, Esther & Dana, I've always had excellent service. My taxes have always been pretty easy, yet I'm always treated as a VIP client. I have sent a few co-workers to Personalized & they have all been so happy. Not only do the ladies at Personalized make sure they are getting my maximum refund, but they seem to actually care & remember things about my life, even though I see them once a year. I love that I found this office & that they have such cute trucks out front!!!!

I have had my taxes done here with Mr. Reichman for the last 23 years, Always treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. There prices are very reasonable. You get so much more then normal routine service. I guess that's why they call it Personalized!

The only time I write reviews is if I had a terrible experience. This was the first time I used outside help to file my tax returns on the recommendation of someone, which was my first mistake to not do a little due diligence. But, due to time constraints and naivety I went ahead anyways. This place is no better than your local discount tax preparers e.g. HR Block, Jackson Hewitt with a rudimentary understanding of tax laws. I provided ALL necessary documents to file my returns and really all that was required on their end was inputting data. Hindsight is 20/20, but I might as well have hired my grandmother to do that. After 15 minutes, the returns were completed and filed with an unexpected shock of the taxes that I owed. My second mistake was not to look it over right then and there, but instead I left due to other obligations. After a week or so later, and still dumbfounded by my supposed payment, I reviewed my returns closely. Sure enough, the lady forgot to input my capital losses to offset some of my gains, and filed a return with about $30k in additional income. I went back to have her correct the error, and she filed an amended return. Now, I received a Notice of Taxes due from the Franchise Tax Board demanding payment owed based on the incorrectly filed returns. If you ever dealt with governmental agencies before, you would know that they are very rigid and unaccommodating. It was wishful thinking of course to get any assistance from the lady that messed up my returns to take ownership and correct her mistake, and so I called FTB myself and was told I would need to pay the amount due regardless of the situation, and wait until the amended returns are reviewed. FTB stated that they were backed up on reviewing returns and it could take up to 3 months! So now because of the tax preparers stupid mistake, I will have to pay more out of pocket until FTB finishes their review and hope I get all my money back. In case you were wondering, the lady at this establishment never offered to give me a refund. Do yourself a great big favor and go elsewhere!
